    Very good teacher! Excellent lesson.
    Just one question: why do so many Turkish people speak English with an American accent and use Americanisms over other types of English? Turkey is partly in Europe and partly of the European family culturally, etc., so why not more British English, or more English-sounding English, as that is actually European? Just curious.

    • @dahiliyelora6836
      @dahiliyelora6836 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm turkish. Because American English have a sooo easy pronounce for Turkish people. British English is so hard for us. We don't want British pronounce....

    • @proximacentauri6619
      @proximacentauri6619 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Somehow our natural way of pronunciation is a little closer to US English than British English. But i would like to be able to speak like an Irish or Scottish. Because i find their accent more attractive. I have tried to talk like that but i couldn't mimic properly. So in the end i still talk like American. Well not a perfect American accent but it's still closer.

    What's the difference between Ask and Sevgi?

    • @TurkishClass101
      @TurkishClass101  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi radioactive Jazz
      Aşk is love as in "Falling is love", loving a significant other.
      Sevgi is common love , as in loving animals, loving cake or your parents, siblings. It can also be used to define love for a significant other. Sevgi can be love or like, depending on the context.
      Cheers,
      İçten
