    in real, "thank you" in turkish is "sağ ol", "teşekkür" is an arabic loanword mostly used in istanbul dialect but than used widely as istanbul dialect is selected as official language. (like most of the loanwords)
    In turkish, if you are staying and saying "goodbye" to someone you say "güle güle (git)", if you are the leaving one you say "hoşçakal"

      Hikaroto you cannot say sen en iyi, you must add “sin” in the end, sin signifies you. in Turkish it’s not just good, it’s you good, so you can even say ‘çok harikasın’ without the ‘sen’

    #19 is better to say WC or tuvalet instead of banyo. Many times at restaurants in Türkiye the waiter was confused when I asked "banyo nerede?" Maybe it's a regional thing but it was generally confusing for Turks in Eastern Anatolia.

    I relocated to Cyprus just of recent. The island is a lovely place but language can be a big barrier regardless of how good your English is if you don't speak Turkish it'll be hard for you to get a job now I'm forced to learn the language. I wish can have a friend who understands both English and Turkish

    the Turkish word "şoför" and the Hungarian word "sofőr" means the same and we almost write it the same :D I am trying to impress someone so the video comes in handy, Thank you...

      the word "şoför" is french origin. in turkish a lot of words come from french. there was a great french influence in the late ottoman period.

      Actually it's not it's because They end up with a sharp reading because they known as a certain judgments, so the sound of breathing intervenes. Normally u should use just r but no one cares at all since it's understandable and it's just communication^¬^

    This is cool! I'm a beginner. I was surprised to see that I actually did know almost all of the first 23 words. I got kind of confused at the one on 7:25. To say "I have a dog" I thought you would add "var" at the end and like, change the part in the beginning. Or would that mean My dog is there, rather than I have a dog? But like, wow, I'm going to try to learn these words! Thank you.

      uzun means long or tall. (In turkish there is only one word for long and tall). yüksek means high
