Honda HRM215 Only starts with choke closed, shuts off instantly even with choke still closed. Getting gas to carb ok. Bowl was clean, no dirt or water. Seems engine won't pull fuel in . took it apart and used choke spry to clean. didn't help.
Hedley Lint did you pull out the main jet and brass pickup tube? Lots of small holes in there need cleaned out. It's also possible the valves need adjusted.
Yes i did however, on the side of the carb, (to the front) there is a small threaded hole, a passage below the throttle plate, no adjustment screw there, I feel that is the air fuel mixture? If so I need the adjustment piece.
Hedley Lint some have an adjustment screw facing forward on the carburetor mount flange. There is an air jet on top, below a plastic cover , beneath the idle stop.
This is facing toward the front of the mower. Looking at the it is on the left side, at the base of carb. any way I can send you a photo of this? If I take the adjusting screw out, can I remove that part to get to the air screw?

were just guna lightly tap it on the wheel. literally smacks it against the wheel
