Oh my gosh I did it! I just finished learning the basic crochet stitches from your beginner tutorials and finally felt confident enough to attempt making something. This is not just my first flower but my first anything lol (other than swathes learning the stitches) I'm so excited this is brilliant and amazing thanks so so much
Wow, I have always wanted to learn how to crochet...but always couldn't pick it up as the person who always showed me used to do the steps so fast that I got lost everytime. Bella Coco, you must be a teacher because the patience and gentleness in your voice makes the video so easy to watch. I can't wait to my a few roses myself thanks to your amazing tutorial. :-)
I never expected to even like crochet, but now I'm addicted!! And I learned from scratch from your tutorials. Thank you so much. This new hobby changed my life. Best therapy ever.
I followed the tutorial and did my flower in yellow. Going to embellish a "infision hat for a cancer patient. It really made the hat prettier and you taught me how to create a small smile---- Thanks,
great tutorials, with lots of ideas. For people who struggle to make the chains a little loose, try sizing up the hook for this step, and then changing back to make the stitches.
I found that doing this left large holes in the middle of of the shells and that the first shells (that go on the outside) were more compressed (from tightening as you work along chain) than the shells that went inside. This made it difficult to sew up attractively without the holes showing.
I am sorry to hear that Claire, it is a long time since I did it, but it seemed to work for me. My natural tension is fairly loose, so I usually use smaller hooks than suggested, and the larger size used for the chain was only very slightly blogger,, but can't remember which I used now. Will be interested to hear how you get on, and what works best for you
You make it so easy. Talking through HOW to do a double or slip stitch is often missing on other videos so you have to go off and find it somewhere else. I love that your videos include this guidance.
very easy to follow for beginners. I watched another rose tutorial from someone else supposedly for beginners & she went so fast I couldn't keep up & the pattern was definitely more advanced than beginner. Thank you for explaining clearly & slowly & using a simple pattern!!
Love it I've been crocheting just over a week now just from watching your videos and I can now do a c2c a granny stripe and now roses so happy thank you x
Awesome tutorial, I'm still a beginner and I found your instructions very easy to follow and the end result looks like it was complicated to make. Thanks x
Hi Bella love your tutorials i recently started doing crochet (because of quarantine as i remember i had them) and i eventually came across your channel after going through a bunch that don't speak or they don't have clear instructions. I have so far done a blanket of granny squares i have made several flat circles as my mum loved them and i have made a love heart that i want to add a rose to so i am doing that now. Thank you so much Bella.
Love it that i hit the like button! I made it within an hour, while i was eatin and it came out perfect! But it was too hard the way you joined so i just did it by joining from center to outwards and it came out really pretty. No one even know it was sewed! So thank you so much! And also i showed it to my mom and my mom was so amazed to see my beautiful work and called my nickname like this. Aishaaaaa!! So thanks for teaching to me ! Your so... Excellent!
Thank you! Great, clear, slow and precise instruction ♥️ easy to follow. I knitted some infinity scarves and wanted a small flower on some of them. I used a yarn with a bit of glitter thread in it to crochet my flower . The bling/button I will add to the centre of the flower. You make this easy. Thanks!
Wow!! You are a great teacher!!! Loved Loved doing this. I am just a beginner and it was so easy to follow. Many thanks for sharing your talents. God Bless!
Great tutorial! I just started to crochet yesterday and made this. I put a hairpin through it, and I am wearing a lovely pink flower in my hair right now :D
Oh my god thank you! I have watched countless videos on how to crochet a flower and they make it sound so complicated. This was the only one that I could actually do! 😃
Love this tutorial! Made making roses easy. I'm so happy to be able to make them now. Thank you! Melanie Ham suggested I watch your videos and boy was she right.
just made my first flower following your excellent tutorial! fabulous!! the end sewing is indeed fiddly. 3 hands really needed I think lol. thank you x
I have been watching your tutorials for years now and I have noticed recently your voice has changed you sound a little older , which makes me wonder what age you were when you first started? Your tutorials are great I hope you always have time to make them as things get busier 😉😘
wow you are now my go to teacher. just found you today. I am very existed and just followed and liked you one facebook. and will tag my friends to you to. thanks :)
thank you so much🙆 you made it so easy, I never thought I can learn that, oh my goodness it was very easy to make🌹 thank you for that beautiful explanation.🌞
Hi. Can u pls make a tutorial showing how to add these crotchet roses as a centre to a granny square blanket? Would realy realy appreciate it! Love all your tutorials. So simple and easy to follow instructions. U are awesome!
hi bella very nice I love to crochet I try to do I been making alfgans and slippers I must try the flower coasters are cute thank you I will keep watching :)
Don't know what I've done wrong but I chained 60 (+2) and then 8 double stiches in first then slip stich in the next and 8 ds in next and so on.... I ended up with 30 petals!!!! I guess I have problem identifying the "next" stich from the one I'm working with! I'm gonna start over and try to figure it out. Also my petals are smaller than yours and they tend to curl in on themselves.... I think I have too much tension on my thread. Thanks a lot for your videos, really easy to follow and to understand. I'm quite knew at this.
This is a lovely flower pattern, the crochet is simple to do with an oddment of yarn. I’d say you do need basic sewing skills to stitch it together, I just positioned the petals as I sewed, it seemed to work best spiralling the foundation chain at the back of the work and stitching into the lower part (but not the edge) of the petal beneath. Just thought I would say this as there have been a few negative comments which seems a shame as it comes up nicely. I’m thinking that if you wanted to make this into a face scrub it would work if you chained 102 to make a wider flower. That’s what I’m going to try next.
I have watched many crochet tutorials but this is without doubt the most professional. Clear, to the point and perfectly filmed. Thank you.
You are very welcome :)
Agree!!!!

Monique L. Its 8 double crochets than skip a stitch than do a slip stitch than skip another stitch and than do another 8 double crochets and repeat.
I love that word you use, "fiddly".
