  • Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you how to crochet a rose. It's a simple flower to make, that looks amazing when you're done! You can sew it onto headbands, granny squares, hats, or any other projects you like. You can also crochet a few and make a beautiful bouquet!
    Crochet Rose Pattern
    Row 1: chain 26
Row 2: skip the first chain closest to the crochet hook, and crochet 1 single crochet in second chain from the hook. Repeat in each chain across (25 single crochet total)
Row 3: Do 5 double crochet in second stitch from the crochet hook, slip stitch into next stitch- creates one large petal. In next stitch, do 5 double crochet, then slip stitch into next stitch Repeat directions between * until you have made 5 large petals. *In next stitch, do 5 half double crochet, then slip stitch into next stitch Repeat directions between * until you have made 4 medium petals. *In next stitch, do 5 single crochet, then slip stitch into next stitch Repeat directions between ** until you have made 3 small petals.
Fasten off, creating a tail of about 10 inches. Weave in small tail from the beginning of the project.
Curl crochet strip/ form the rose and position the crochet how you want it to look. Sew the layers of crochet together. Fasten off and weave in tail.
    Crochet Hook: 5.0 mm

I love your tutorials! I am 47 years old and just taught myself how to crochet using your videos. I am working on a blanket for my daughter now, who finds it hysterical that my "teacher" seems to be the same age she is! Thank you for your clear, simple tutorials. You are adorable! Keep up the good work for us oldies who are late to the show. 😊

I’m a 52 year old oldie also and have learned a lot from your video tutorials. I like that they’re short, straight to the point, and filmed up close with good light so we can see exactly what steps are taken. You’re wise beyond your years and an excellent teacher. Thank you for teaching this old crocheter new and simple patterns. They’re awesome! And I really enjoy them. God bless you and thank you for sharing your love of crochet.

Love your tutorial, makes a great rose. I decided to experiment with your tutorial, if you chain 14, do 13 sc across, then do 3 large, 2 medium, and 1 small petal, you can make a rose bud. Thank You for sharing.

You made the easiest rose I've ever seen! I've been crocheting for more than 50 years, & what was wrong with people, that I'm seeing a tutorial for a rose, that has no spikes, no gaps, & you don't have to turn it inside out to do the next round! Thank You So Much! I've had 2 strokes, & had to reteach myself to crochet again. I had tons of patterns, that I had designed, but, the strokes took them away!🥺 & I can no longer think up patterns, like I used too. But, with all the tutorials, floating around on social media, I found the beautiful rose, that I'll be using on a blanket for a queen size bed. 6' long X 7' wide, so, I can put a fringes on the sides, & bottom. But, I've made some mistakes! Some, I ripped back. The one's that were 6 hrs back, I wasn't ripping out that many stitches! My hubby, my encouragement, my light, my life, said, 'Look for a bunch of patterns, on Google.' 'Yeah, & look how ugly those daisies looked! I tried to straighten up those petals! They just wouldn't, & that was really disappointing, because the whit flowers on the lavender, purple, shamrock green, & the cream, would look excellent with white flowers, with yellow centers, but if you can't find one, go to plan B!' Thank You Again! I imagine you're married, thru Unniv, have a high paying job, at least 2 kids, & not much time to crochet anymore! This was posted, I think 7 yrs ago! In the tutorial you sounded 14 to 16 yrs old, & so pleasant, sweet, very detailed, & you didn't go thru the pattern, so fast, that I couldn't keep up with you. God Bless You, & Your Family...Always...
