I like this video because she explains WHY you're doing what you're doing, unlike other beginner videos that give clear instructions but don't make you think what you're doing. Here she's really teaching.
I hadn't read any comments until the video finished and I'm really surprised that supposed experienced crocheters are have trouble following the instructions. Slow down the speed or pause if you are working along with her. This is one of the best demonstration videos I've seen. Excellent job.
This was great! It is best to watch first before even attempting to start project. Instructions were clear and simple stitches. One gal suggested a tutorial on making a leaf! I am all for that. Thanks for sharing.
I am not great at crocheting. I'm still learning but have the basic stitches down. I had to watch, backup and pause to make sure I was doing it right and my flower came out awesome! Thank you for all you've unknowingly done to teach me to crochet!
I made one along with your video (I'm a beginner and it came out perfectly watching it one time straight through) and then checked the comments to see if there were any other suggestions (as I usually do)... have to say, I'm not really sure where the confusion is coming from. I saw what you were doing for a row, paused, did it, then saw what we were supposed to do next, paused, did it, etc., so perhaps those getting confused are just overthinking it a bit. 😉 Thanks for the tutorial; I look forward to watching more from you!
Great directions on how to sew it, I have made a few crocheted roses, but was never satisfied with how they looked after sewing them, finally I know how to sew them so I will actually like them Thank You for sharing your time, and your talent with all of us.
I've just spent the best part of 2 hours working through videos that claim to be easy(NOT!) I watched your once and hey presto I have four roses done in half an hour. Beautifully explained, fantastic pictoral evidence. Job done.Thankyou
Extremely easy pattern. I was just fascinated at watching your style of crochet .. where did you learn that? Its more like knitting with a crochet hook. Nothing wrong with it, just didn't realize people crocheted like that. For those who don't know what I'm talking about. . Both hands should be stationed, needle rests in crook against thumb and wrist does all the work, middle finger on right hand, acts as stablizer for hook, while little finger on right hand, grips, stabilizers project. Left hand little finger controls tension of yarn and left first finger serves as yarn/thread guide. Your projects are beautiful all the same. Been crocheting for 65 years, was taught by nuns in Europe and if we moved anything but the hook, we knew all about it. Learnt to crochet French lace with 1 ply cottn and .000 hook. By the way, the flat part of the hook is what the thumb lies against, just thought I would share. Guess, my style is a dying art. :-)
The way you crochet is the way I was taught also. Have no idea what this is, but it isn't crochet. Pretty though, just the weirdest technique I've seen. Fingers, hands and joints must ache.
wow, so I had had an extra stitch. ok. I just worked it in. Finally I can say that I learned how to make my first flower ever. ..and I've seen a lot of flower videos! Thank you so much for a wonderful video!!!
I just love your roses so much, by changing the needle size I get a different size rose, and I am now learning to use #3 thread and I made a rose with that and wow is looks so beautiful. Thanks for the video
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Kaiser Grady Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Very cute, very easy. I didn't make mine long enough nor did I have the ends long enough but hey that's how you learn how to make these things. Thanks for the video. It's definitely one I will try again.
Great tutorial! For everyone commenting about the pace of the video, you can adjust the playback speed in the settings to go slower (or faster if needed). :)
Great tutorial! | am left-handed but followed it very easily and my rose looks really good. I did twenty one chains and the petals worked out great. Thanks very much
I think there's a problem with the count if you're following the pattern in the vid exactly, which is confusing. She says she does 40 chains. On the second round, you should be going into every other chain, which would leave you with 20 holes for petals. However, she's somehow only has 12 petals when she's done. Not sure where the disconnect is. I'm pretty new at crocheting, but I'm also good at math.
Awesome, especially since it’s any size rose and any size yarn 🧶 woo hoo! Making this in cotton for a hat I just made my Mom. Roses 🌹 are her absolute favorite flower. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you so much! What a beautiful rose this makes, you explained it so well. I have just tried it with the champagne rose coloured bamboo yarn, still have to sew it together, but it is going to be beautiful! I have tried another pattern, but it didn’t work out as good... I loved your video, and I think I’ll be making roses for a while😉🤗
Using these on my berets that I'm making. LOVE THEM. Perfect.... Quick and easy to make. I'm just making mine from the 31 chain length. Thanks so much!!!
Just whipped one up in the yummiest pastel baby yarn with the smallest hook I could find and it makes for such a pretty hairclip! Thanks for the great tutorial!
Thank you so much! What a beautiful rose this makes, you explained it so well. I would like to try it, I have tried another pattern to... but I loved your video, and I think I’ll be making roses like this.
U have every reason to be excited, you just learned something and now, u made it and you are seeing your accomplishment, soon, you will be making different types of flowers, im happy for you😃
I don't understand what people are complaining about with the tutorial going too fast but I think you should sync it up a bit and explain the double and treble concept for beginners. I made some amazing rose motifs, would love to share snaps. And loved your video. Liked. Subscribed! ❤
Great tutorial, thank you! I will be making some following this 1st I am going to try one using lace thread. Do you think it would be too small on a new baby girl headband?
Hi! Nice tutoriel. Hay fun making the rose with you. I fond that sowing the rose while Rolling it is easier for me . Thanks alot I was sad Not to find a nice flower to put on my hubby's birthday present . A bear I crocheted lol. Take care and have a nice day 😋
started out with the 41 like you did, but ended up with way more petals... so... did another one and same thing. They look ok, but just not able to figure out where I went wrong. Love how slow you go and how you "show" your work. I am very visual! I teach coloring pencil and also do the "show" method. Thank you!!!
If I counted it right she might've been doing 42 chains. It's possible to count on 0.25× speed but there are two wonky segments one of them around chain 39.
Take your time for the beginners. I'm an advanced crocheter but you're all over the place with your instructions
I like this video because she explains WHY you're doing what you're doing, unlike other beginner videos that give clear instructions but don't make you think what you're doing. Here she's really teaching.

Thank you so much for explaining it the way you did I have autism it’s harder for me to understand crochet tutorials, that you made it very easy

Thanks so much for this tutorial! You explain very well. Now I can make a blanket with roses on it for my mom!
Great directions on how to sew it, I have made a few crocheted roses, but was never satisfied with how they looked after sewing them, finally I know how to sew them so I will actually like them
Thank You for sharing your time, and your talent with all of us.

My FAVORITE crochet rose tutorial 🌹 So easy to follow 🌹
wow, so I had had an extra stitch. ok. I just worked it in. Finally I can say that I learned how to make my first flower ever. ..and I've seen a lot of flower videos! Thank you so much for a wonderful video!!!
Same. I had 31, ended up with an extra stitch on the first row. I’m just going to keep going like normal I guess.

Thank you so much! I am learning how to crochet again and with you have created my first ever crochet rose!

@Kaiser Grady It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you really help me out !
@Timothy Kamden glad I could help =)
Mine came out so pretty. I had to listen twice to catch instructions not said but implied to an intermediate crocheter. Thank you!
Thank you so much for being so clear verbally and pictorially...
Thank you so much for your tutorial.🎉❤I enjoyed watching you wrap the rose and how you showed us how you decrease evenly across the 🌹 row....😊❤❤❤❤❤😊
So simple and they look lovely. I've only been crocheting a couple of months and found your tutorial so easy to follow.
Very cute, very easy. I didn't make mine long enough nor did I have the ends long enough but hey that's how you learn how to make these things. Thanks for the video. It's definitely one I will try again.
I'm glad to hear it! I found that I had to make a Ch of at least 20-30 to make a nice looking rose. Smaller would make nice little buds though :)
I feel like a genius because of you, thank you! This turned out so well!
Hey
Your teaching skills are insane 🥰
Great tutorial! For everyone commenting about the pace of the video, you can adjust the playback speed in the settings to go slower (or faster if needed). :)
Good point!!
What a gorgeous rose. I can't wait to make this rose.
Great tutorial! | am left-handed but followed it very easily and my rose looks really good. I did twenty one chains and the petals worked out great. Thanks very much
You must have made a much smaller rose, or used a chunkier yarn, glad it turned out great.
I am truly a beginner, and you made this project very easy for me. Thank you!
This video was great! I've read several patterns for roses & didn't quite understand the concept. You lait it out so clearly! Thank you!

I have the same amount of petals as you. Don't know what I did different when I followed the pattern.
After assembling my blanket, I realized I really hate a couple of my granny squares. So I'm going to plop some flowers on top!
I love your tutorials, as I am a visual learner😊 very clear & concise instructions. Thank u!
Came out beautiful 😍 ty
Awesome, especially since it’s any size rose and any size yarn 🧶 woo hoo! Making this in cotton for a hat I just made my Mom. Roses 🌹 are her absolute favorite flower. Thanks for the tutorial!

Im a beginner and i understood just perfect, mine came out beautifully. Thank you 😍
yessss you hold your yarn the same way I do! everyone tells me that it's weird to hold it like that.
Lol, me too!
Me too! I also do my Slipknot different than everyone else.
Yes! Lol, I was told I throw the yarn over like a knitter, tho I don’t knit. I just cannot do it the other way.
You can hold your yarn/thread and hook whatever way works for you. You do you, let them do them. :D
Your tutorials are so simple and easy to understand thanks for these awesome videos
