dc: double crochet
sc: single crochet
trc: triple/treble crochet
f/o: fasten off
slst: slip stitch
mc: magic circle
inc: increase
bold : repeat until end of row
ch 55
dc in 4th st
*ch 4, dc in same stitch,
dc in 3rd st*
ch 1 and turn your work, (working in the 17 ch 4 spaces)
first space: dc 10, chain 1, sc 1
next space: sc 1, ch 1, dc 10, ch 1, sc 1
you should end with 17 petals.
f/o, assemble rose, glue/sew everything together
how i made the stem:
r1: sc 5 in mc
r2: inc
r3: inc, sc 1
r4: inc, sc 2
r5: sc 4, ch 6, sc 5 along chain
r6: sc 4, along 1st side of chain: trc, dc, hdc, sc, slst, ch1. along side of chain w/sc: slst, sc, hdc, dc, trc
slst f/o, sew on to rose

R1: dc into the 4th ch from the hook, [ch4, dc into the same stitch (where the 1st dc is), skip 2ch, dc into 3rd ch from the previous dc] repeat until the end of the row
R2: ch1(turning ch), [10dc into ch4-space, ch1, sc into same ch4-sp, sc into next ch4-sp, ch1] repeat until the end of the row, yarn off but leave the excess yarn long since it will be used to connect the petals together
Yields 17 petals
