I like the new look but only if there is still some sort of screen protection provided by the bezel. I’m on a local Search & Rescue team and I use the Instinct 2X for that and my own wilderness adventures. It takes a beating hacking through the bush and crawling over rock faces etc. Garmin’s other “adventure” watches just don’t hold up to that kind of punishment in my experience and I’ve tried nearly all of them over the years. The fact that I can go on a two week hike and not worry about charging it is also a bonus.
I don’t know, if that is the actual new instinct 3 model, I’d be disappointed mostly because it looks like it no longer has the raised bezel that offers the protection needed for a rugged watch. One of the main reasons I went for the instinct was because it is like a Casio that can take a beating, and it doesn’t cost a premium like the more feature rich Garmin watches - that’s a trade-off I can live with. Anyway I guess we’ll see what it is eventually released. Thanks for these videos and keep up the great work!
I have been a G Shock man all my life, but love also love all things fitness. I even purchased the first G Shock fitness watch GBD H 2000. However I would never go back based on purchasing the Instinct 2X - it’s awesome! But I wish it had a microphone (phone capability) as it would be handy sometimes I don’t care about coloured screen PS Great channel!
I used to have an Instinct. Honestly, I absolutely loved it! The only thing it was missing was golf tracking. So, I went with a Fenix 7. Shortly after that, they released the Instinct 2 with golf features. 😒I'm not exactly thrilled with this image. I like the raised edge around the screen because of protection. Like you said, I'm not a fan of the orange accents on the screen, either.
Yeah, I'd have to guess if this is the final design that there would be color choices and different editions like the Instinct 2 with all the different models. I'd like to assume they've got a black grey version on the way too. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! 💪🏃
@@DaveDoesFitness Yes, I love that Garmin gives so many options for colors and options. They understand that we are all different. You sir have just earned a subscription for responding to my comment! I'm going to watch your video about the Garmin Index scale next.
I was hoping for more of a plastic version of the Epix for the next Instinct. Would love Music and Pay and not so much the maps as that is dedicated to Fenix and Epix range
I liked the G-Shock design of all current instincts however this model looks like those cheap Timex or Armitron wannabes. Either way, I'm not the target audience for the instinct as I've grown up past the black and white displays of the 80's and need a bit more features. Fenix and Epix pros FTW! Now if Garmin would make a premium instinct with the build quality and look similar to the premium Casio G-Shock series like Master of G Frogman, Mudman, Mudmaster, etc, and with an AMOLED display and features found in Fenix series, that would be interesting.
The Garmin Instinct 2 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and feature-packed smartwatch. One of its standout features is its lightweight design, which allows you to wear it continuously for weeks without any discomfort. This continuous wear is particularly beneficial because it enables the watch to accumulate a vast amount of data about your health. For instance, I realized I had COVID-19 two days before taking a test, thanks to the health insights provided by my Garmin Instinct 2.
The only thing that looks legit or "final" in those leaks in terms of design is the outer bezel. The rest could just be physical place holders for the assembly / prototyping phase. I think we looking at 1 of possibly many early samples. It says "Solar" but there is no photovoltaic layer visible (solar instinct owners will know just how visible this layer is 98% of the time). If that is the final design, it's ugly as sin but I don't see it. That looks like "engineers" had a go at adding some design elements during a prototyping / assembly stage to get a better visual of the end result. The design language is way off from what Garmin has done in the past (Except for the outer bezel, it follows the same design language as the latest Enduro, Fenix etc but more closely resembles the X version of the current Instinct 2). I'm sure we will find out exactly what it will look like within the next 4/5 months, I think the release is just around the corner...
Leave it to Garmin to mess up a perfectly good thing. Making changes for the sake of changes. They love to promote software features and “upgrades” for new devices that can work on older hardware but won’t release it for those older watches forcing you to buy a new watch… meanwhile Apple is still releasing updates for Apple Watch FOUR from 6 years ago. I’m over Garmin.
Every current Fenix and Forerunner has all the hardware a person can want, it's been that way for years, so upgraded the appearance and a few hardware features won't motivate people to upgrade or buy a Garmin. The problem with Garmin isn't their hardware, it's Garmin Connect and the software side of things, it's outdated and Garmin doesn't seem to be interested in keeping up with the software feature side of things. I won't surprised if Apple passes them in a few years.
What is the issue with Garmin Connect or what missing software features do you mean? Garmin has the strongest privacy policy and privacy adjustment options out of all smartwatch manufacturers, so compared to the competition, I find Garmin Connect the be the best option out there.

nice video, good speaking, nice scripting, good editing - keep it going!!!

Thanks for watching! I'd agree that if that's the new bezel design it looks more sleek than past gens and that would probably mean less protected
Well, you have to admit the Instinct 2x design is hard to beat XD💪🤣
Yeah, I hope they don't change just for the sake of change.

PS Great channel!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Appreciate the kind words! 💪🏃
I just wish the garmin's were repairable like the Casio's are.
@@PhantomTD what part would need repair/replacement? Garmin doesn't offer repair services? Thats kind of a deal breaker
i dont care about colors, the design can look good with another colors. But the display looked it has better contrast and resolution!

Oh no, not more Garmin SKUs 🤣
That would be a pretty ingesting offering though, best of both styles. Thanks for watching!

Yes and 3 is ugly as older versions ( it have circle in the display also ) :D they never will have me if this continue :) .

Its look like casio gbd h2000
Ew absolute ew 😭
Definitely not to everyone's liking 😂 There's still a chance it's just a developer model without the final aesthetic
Nope😢
Not feeling the new look?
