This is actually extremely effective, for anyone who has any doubts. I’ve been doing a strength training program for a couple of weeks now but always struggle with actually FEELING my glutes working during training. Last night I did a couple of these exercises (single leg wall lean & clam) for 30 seconds on each side, and let me tell you, I felt the burn. Those 2 simple exercises totally fired up my glutes in preparation to my actual workout, and I felt my glutes working more than ever before. Today my glutes are actually sore! I will continue doing those 2 exercises before my training and expect to see good results with time and consistency.
ETA: Just wanted to update; I still do these before my workouts (3-4x/week). It’s only been 2 months but I feel like my workouts are starting to pay off. Of course it takes time and consistency to grow muscles, so any gains I have made at this point are small, but I am amping up my protein intake as well as adding a booty specific program into my routine and will continue doing activation exercises before 😃

She jumps on backyard trampoline w/him for 15-30 min most morn. When he was younger she learned to use him in workouts, take him to the park (lifting, pushing swing, running), HIT w/him in stroller etc. Chasing after an active child IS a workout. Well, nothing worked until I was able to reset my nervous system and get my brain and butt talking again; I had dead glutes so they didn't respond to regular exercises. I've been doing somatic movement for months but it's sequential so it took me this long to get to the glutes part of the program, and now I can actually feel them. I would stand there and not be able to feel anything between my legs and lower back, and now I can. I'm doing it online through Somatic Movement Center and she's amazing. I can now do glute exercises and actually benefit. So simple but no physio I had seen had any clue about this, and they were reputable.

@Marisa Pinkarisa I have dealt with fluorosis since childhood. My dad mistakenly believed fluoride strengthened teeth, like so many others. We lived in Colorado Springs where the fluoride was already high. He had my mother buy fluoride supplemented water to make formula. I suffer pain, dental issues and more from it. There are warnings on toothpaste saying not to swallow. If it’s in your mouth you are absorbing it.
I use Lumi deoderant. I really like it. I learned about the aluminum years ago.
I use the microwave for popcorn and melting butter for baking. Thats about it. It kills any nutrients in your food. It releases toxins in plastics. You should never heat up a baby bottle in the microwave. You are kind to take time to tell others about these dangers. They are very bad and many still do not know! It’s like aspartame!! It puts holes in the brain!
Our food has been modified to the point our bodies barely recognize it as food anymore. The more processed food we eat the more time our bodies spend in a fight or flight type of mode. The body responds as though it is under attack and stores calories. This is why organic veggies are so important. They give the body permission to let go of stored garbage and time to heal and rejuvenate. Micronutrients are vital to fight cancer and obesity. Intermittent fasting has been proven to prevent cancer. This means eating once in a 24 hour time frame. Allowing the body to eat existing fat and discard free radicals. It also resets the metabolism and the way we feel hunger. Anywhoo, thats a lot of info too. Maybe someone was praying for an answer to something? Blessings!

If I'm not exercising it, my hip locks and I get lower back spasms that take one month of physical therapy to loosen. Hi Victoria, glad to see that I am not the only 70 yo watching this video. I followed this young lady prior to the pandemic then stopped. I already do butt exercises but will include these in my regimen of butt exercises. I already been doing the clams with resistance bands, fire hydrants and dunkey kicks. And of course the proverbial “good mornings” which I had learned from her and squats. Only one I don’t enjoy doing is the glute bridge. Good luck.

I literally have been doing this just before I get out of bed in the am and just before I try to sleep because of insomnia. While I'm washing dishes, while I'm talking on the phone, in the shower, reading a book, watching TV lol I didn't know it actually works. I just started doing it because I have saitica issues after working for Amazon warehouse and I did not want to go to therapy every day So I started feeling my muscles while doing these stretches or small workouts and making sure I could feel it tightening or moving. Did not know it was an actual thing! I'm glad I came across your page!

@@SS-zn1td it’s not about „the“ result. You have to be consistent with exercise and let your muscles rest. It’s more about incorporating it into your daily life, thus making gradual changes, so you can keep doing it over time. If you stop when you get your desired result ( which can take up to a few weeks to several months depending on your goal) it’s gonna go away.

This makes so much sense! I dropped off on weight training at the height of the pandemic and gained all my weight back, and then some. My lower back would be on fire after walking my dogs for an extended time or sitting at my desk for work. I do have a prior back injury that is minor, but when I was lifting I had a dedicated lower body day and was training my glutes. I am back in the gym so hoping to kiss the pain away as I get stronger! 💪🏽Thank you for sharing your wisdom!

I pulled this exact muscle almost 2 years ago doing horse gallops (side action around a tennis court). Talk about pain! It didn't hurt much at the outset, but it's been chronically bothering me ever since. It's mostly healed now, just needs consistent activation to repair the muscle fibers - so I'm going to do these daily. I just tried a few and they definitely helped reach the muscles that need activating.

Kola, my dear, you are just lovely!! Smart, very pretty, and kind!!! You are the trifecta. ❤
As a 58-year old white woman born to three previous generations of women with a super flat butt, I just thought it was an unattractive trait. I had no idea it was why I experience terrible lower back and IT band pain. (All the women of my family had debilitating “hip” issues that started in our mid-50’s.) It took me years to figure out the cause of all this pain is my super weak, and therefore flat butt, which in turn caused the hip and IT band issues. 😢
The clam shells have helped but I needed more exercises and I could actually do, and TH-cam brought YOU to me!!!
THANK YOU!!!❤ I pray your kindness in sharing your knowledge will help me strengthen my rump and alleviate all the pain!!! 🤞 May God bless you and keep you ever in His arms!! You have a new subscriber from the first video I saw!!
