Swann DVR HDD Failure | HDD Replacement

The Hard Disk Drive unfortunately failed on my Swann DVR SRDVR-84580V. Replaced the Hard Disk Drive with a Western Digital Purple Surveillance Hard Drive.

How do I check if it is the hard drive and can I use a old hard drive does it need formatting

No. My camera video feed still displayed on the monitor when the HDD failed.

@@wiseoldconsumer all my cameras wire are perfect it has to be the hard drive I was thinking because if it’s the wire you could at least see 1 or 2 cameras working out of 4

Haha mine died today just installed an SSD but its not showing up so no luck either
