Great video and help. So many in need of this info without spending their whole paycheck.
Vertical traction with support, core engagement in a warm pool helps as well. Can add ankle weights if indicated, I’ve been an Aqua PTA since 1997. Maybe 1 person during that time could not tolerate. Water is great as well! So many benefits. ❤️

decompression and exercise. Going to the pool and either 1) hands on the side allowing the legs to hang down, 2. you mentioned going for a walk. If this is difficult the pool can be a great way to go for a walk while reducing shocks and pressure on feet, legs and back.while supporting the weight of the person. As you mentioned, no fancy equipment required.

True non surgical spinal decompression involves producing a vacuum in the disc. This will rehydrate the discs and improve the respiratory cycle of the disc. Stretching the spine may produce mild decompressive forces in the discs and give symtomatic relief but does not rehabilitate and will not promote healing. If the patient has degenerative and or herniations of the discs, the vacuum effects of the decompression machines are far more valuable to the overall health of the tissues.

I started sleeping in this position about a year ago or so, (not sure), I almost have no pain most days. I also nap in this position. I'm going to try adding in the hand position and movements next. Thanks so much for your videos. You have changed my life. I thought I was doomed to a life of pain but it turns out I'm not. (I'm only 36 btw, but I've had problems since high school).

I hurt my back doing cobra pose. After the injury, it really only hurts if I do cobra, an arched back pose, or certain ab exercises. Would this help me?

Any tricks on sleeping after a 6 level cervical Laminectomy and fusion? Also have frequent Cervicogenic headaches. The decompression did not fix any of the problems i had before the operation. Too much nerve damage.

Lumbar cushions or the McKenzie roll really help decompress the low back!!!

I use a 3" pool noodle to roll up and down my back while I am on the floor. It is firm enough and soft enough that it doesn't feel like my spine is being bruised. Just lying down doesn't always help enough.
Good luck to you Bob !

Thank you for the advice, I just started this practice and it helped! It so easy. I did also purchase the thermotex heat pad. I use it for the back and it helps with the hammies as well.
