How to Fix a Bulging Disc in Your Lower Back | RELIEF IN SECONDS!

  • Dr. Rowe goes over how to fix a bulging disc in your lower back with AT-HOME spinal decompression exercises that give relief in seconds!
In this video, 3 spinal decompression exercises are shown to help lower spinal disc pressure and give relief.
A bulging disc is one of the main causes of a pinched nerve in the lower back. Symptoms generally include sharp, shooting sciatica pains into the buttocks, leg, and feet.
The way to fix a herniated disc is to reduce the pressure within the spinal discs... or simply decompress the disc.
That way bulging material is brought back into the spinal disc, and off the pinched nerve, allowing you to heal and have less pain.
Watch now and take one step towards better health!

Last summer I could not walk more than 100 feet.
I had a cortisone shot in my lower back to get me on my feet and start the recovery process.
I slowly built my steps up and took care not to lift or strain my back in any way.
It has been a long road to recovery but I am 90% better.
I know my back will not take anymore abuse whatsoever, but I am grateful to be on my feet again.
I am 55 and back in my 20's did weight lifting.Every so often I would "Throw out my back"
No biggie I thought took a couple days and I felt better UNTIL last year.
People take their body and health for granted until something happens.
      Take care of yourself.

Heard my back pop at work and had to go home. First night was ok. Little pain. But this morning was the total opposite. I must have rolled over in my sleep and holy shit I woke up fast. I had tears of pain and was sweating profusely just from trying to get to a seated position. I couldn't stand at all. I am so grateful to have stumbled across this channel. I have been suffering from lower back/sciatic pain for about 3 months now. I’ve had it for years but I injured it when I did a really deep clean of my house (it was my fault for pushing myself too hard). The pain stayed for a long time that I finally had enough. I could barely lay down or turn my body. I wanted to see if I could fix it on my own with some PT before going to a doctor and these exercises WORK. I did these stretches along with some from your other videos daily and the pain was gone in 2-4 days 😳 I am shocked. I now do them every single day and try to not bend too much or lift heavy objects to help prevent pain. Thank you for sharing these completely free exercises/videos!!! Wow! You just made a point that, as a disc heals, the pain gradually moves up the leg and back closer to the low back where it originated. I was diagnosed with 6 disc herniations ranging in severity from my T12 to my S1-L1 disc. I have been performing the stretches and PT exercises you and other DC's have recommended for 10 months now. And the pain has come up my leg and back into the hip flexor area where I first noted the acute pain last summer of 2021! But those spinal decompression exercises have greatly reduced my pain and neuropathy now for many months. And since I discovered that my psoas muscles were tightened as a natural pain response to these pinched nerves; I have been doing the psoas muscle stretches recommended by a couple of doctors on YT here. Wow! What an improvement since I started the thigh/ psoas muscle stretches! But I have learned much from you Dr. Rowe, and I thank-you for helping me mange life until I can get the expensive decompression treatments recommended by my doctors.

And were you walk properly after 2 week of injury???
And on a scale of 1 to 10 what was the level of your pain ??
And how much time did it take you to recover completely from pain ??

These herniations came on very gradually for me, through the natural course of my occupation as an electrician. The tool belt I wear causes an improper tilt of my pelvis; which I believe contributed to a pinching of my sciatic and femoral nerve branches. The pain I began to feel was actually in my left hip joint area, and eventually migrated throughout the entire sacroiliac joints,
@@Preeti-lw9jc My gait (walking movement) was affected with a slight limp from the pain in the hip and quadricep (thigh) muscles. Pain was increased after 4-5 hours of working and at the end of a day was about an 8 I'd guess. Here it is a year later and now my pain has shifted to the right hip and gluteal muscles, and my right foot and calf has developed severe neuropathy and loss of flexion. So I'm going to get an updated MRI, x-ray of the lumbar and sacral region with a neurologist next week.
Unfortunately, the spinal stretches recommended by the doctor here now just increase my right foot numbness to almost a complete loss of feeling! It's very frustrating, as I now have to find a new way to make a living and make ends meet! No, I haven't recovered from my pain other than avoid jobs that require bending , stooping, crouching, and a lot of walking or standing. On days when I have to work as an electrician; I have to pop 800mg to 1200mg of Motrin to alleviate the pain. Thanks and good luck to you on your issues.

Brilliant. Ive been doing this on my own, using a “captian’s chair”, gym’s have them for leg raises. This is an absolutely great video.
instead of the suggestion in video after video telling people to lay on their backs or sit in a chair and put their spine into flexion, by bringing their knees or knee to their chest, thus further squishing the disc, and also stretching an already irritated nerve.

If you have a bed at least 3 to 4ft off the ground you can also do this.
Lay on the edge of the bed and let your torso up to just below your rib cage, hang free on the edge of the bed with no torso support. You might need someone to hold your ankles so you dont slide off.
You should feel your torso pulling from your lower back. This is also a form of decompression and can be held as long as comfortable for you. I have advanced lordosis and this has helped me alot since regular exercise is hard to remember with my audhd.
This method helps me last up to a week with minimal to no back pain before needed another session of up to and no more than 20minutes. I have NEVER needed more than 5 or ten minutes if you can even last breathing like that so long, it is a huge stress on your chest and breathing.
But for long, shorter term care, this really does work.
In my opinion if you are going over 10 minutes with moderate to severe pain then you need a specialist. If your not getting relief under ten minutes there could be a SERIOUS injury or issue. So please if doing this causes more pain, pain you cant handle while in position, or needs more than 10minutes to feel relief, see a professional.you probably have a locked, damaged or swollen nerve, disc, muscle or bone.
I'll say again IF you do this and you still have pain and discomfort after 10minutes, seek medical care because its definently something more serious. Compression is normal and natural but should be easily relieved with methods like this. IF NOT, ITS SERIOUS. GET HELP.

After multiple attempts to find a way to apply the techniques I ended up sitting in the driver seat of my Ford F150, put on my seat belt, with one hand on the door arm rest, and elbow on the console I gently lifted myself off the seat and counted to 30. I did this several times throughout the day and had tremendous results.

I still have the spams, but that decompression exercise provides immediate, temporary relief when they happen which is nice.
