Just picked up my 2024 Civic Si in Sonic Grey. I am loving it.. I’ve watched a lot of videos with people saying the Si isn’t fast… it’s pretty freakin fast.. 200 horse power is plenty, especially when you’re coming from a car that only put out 140hp. Yes there are much more powerful cars out there.. but seriously… when are you going to be able to use all those ponies.. unless you are running your car on a track. 200hp… for me anyway is the perfect amount of of power without getting in to trouble.
Congrats and great comments. I think it feels plenty zippy and is one of my favourites cars no matter the money. So fun, practical and nice for the money.

Wiki: The Si (Sport Injected) trim was introduced for the third generation of Honda Civics in both Japan and North America. In Canada and elsewhere, the trim became known as the SiR for the sixth and seventh generations as the "Si" badge was used for the equivalent to the USDM Civic EX model. The brakes work great but the WRX and other competitors in this segment have upgraded brakes being a sporty version of the car.
I’m trading in my 10th gen this holiday for the new si. Wished I could get the type r. But whatever. The interior dash looks awesome. That was the selling point for me. Has a 70s vibe to the styling.
I can’t afford an R realistically but it would still like the option of buying one lol. The Si was incredible and I’m considering one myself. I think you will love it. And the dash is one of my favourite parts
@Daddarussiasandiegonews No. I’m in saving mode and the payment was so much more than my BRZ. I still think about it often and will consider for sure. I also like the WRX for similar and opposite reasons. I wish I had the money the buy the Si for summer, keep my BRZ for track and the WRX for winter. Congratulations! I think it is awesome and one of my favourites.
@@NeutralreviewsIn my areas as I was looking to get an Si but went with the Elantra N there is 9 2023’s and a couple of 2024’s. All of the Si’s still have their 8 to 10 grand dealer mark ups? Honda dealers are ruining Hondas reputation and as such you see Hyundai and some Kias taking that market share from Honda.
Only time will tell how well the Direct injected 1.5 turbo engine holds up. History shows they don't hold well. I considered the Si, but I'm going with the Civic Sport Hatchback Dual Injected NA K20c2 with the manual transmission.
Love my Si but don't trust the auto steer feature. It works until it doesn't. If a curve is a little too difficult, it just turns off with almost no warming, unlike a Tesla which really warms you. All you get is a single quiet beep that is easily missed with the radio on with any modest volume. No visual warning. A dangerous oversight on Honda's part.
Nice review, and by the way SI originally stands for "Sequential Injection". Unfortunately since you made this video only about a year ago the car now up in price to $31,045 including destination.

A 1.5 Liter turbo ain’t no bread and butter for me, I would prefer a 9th generation Civic SI with the K24Z7 2.4Liter V-tech. $37k is highway robbery for a new SI, this guy must work for Honda for saying $37k is bank for this car.

My personal take on the latest SI from a long-term and current Honda 2021 Accord Sport 2.0T. In the market just recently for a toy. A weekend runabout with power, handling and performance on a budget. The GTI, WRX, SI and Integra all were on the short list and all were very fun and pleasing to drive. In the end, I went for the 2024 WRX Sport-Tec (top trim in Canada 6speed) over the SI. The Civic was fun, peppy, very well built with a typical Honda smooth and buttery sweet manual. Great interior and very, very good handling. But it just wasn't that fun, enough at least. It's a bit normal, average in it's overall feel. Almost pedestrian and far, far slower than my 2.0T Accord with 253hp and 272 ft lbs of torque. The WRX felt more raw (obviously and typical of Subaru products), far quicker, far more tossable and just plain more weekend fun. If I were buying a toy as a dual daily driver with daily trips to the shit hole that is Toronto, then YES, I would have chosen the SI. But as a "fun machine" .....a toy ..... the SI is too slow, too conservative and too mundane.
