You do not! Do not need to do all that lol just remove the ball joint bolt and the 2 bolts holding the control arm then simply drop the struts down enough to remove the screws

He pushes the control arm bolts out with his fingers, those bolts usually seize in the bushing so get ready for a battle,buy the control arms that come with bolts so your ready
