    Thank you for this! My upper ball joint's rubber has shredded and started to creak! Been relying on WD-40 and its scary haha.

    Funny how seeing other people do things make you think 🤔.....I can do that!😂

    BTW, the ball joint torque is 66 ft lbs and bushing nuts 129 ft lbs. Everything you did is what's in service manual.

      Are those specs for 2003+ or 1998-2002?

    Is the procedure for the control arm the same on the driver's side?

    Aligning the two holes for the axis/pivot bolts was probably the hardest part in the whole process, in any mechanical job actually..

    How did u put the ball joint in....im struggling with that. Is it pressed in?

      The ball joint goes into a cone-shaped hole in the wheel hub. This cone-shaped hole has a split in one side and a bolt clamping the split together. With the bolt removed, you can use a chisel-like device and a hammer to spread the split a little wider to allow the ball joint to fit in the cone-shaped hole. Once it is mostly in the hole, use the nut to seat it completely

    Notice nobody has a video on the drivers side …. Notice the chilton or Haynes manual offers no specific information on drivers side for this specific model series . Interesting….. all the brake lines right on the nuts …

    My ball joint just went bad, I saw that you used a pry bar, but you skipped on how to put it back in. Does it require a press???

    • @ahmedaltowaileb
      @ahmedaltowaileb  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it dose not require a press. I used pry bar to align the control arm only.
