It's not because she has beef with Poseidon, it's because he's LOYAL. She turned the men into pigs for a reason. There's men that got into her island and did some... Very NOT good things, like she said in the last song. To be specific, she said "The last time we let strangers live, we faced a heavy loss." Nymphs got taken away to be sold and some got assaulted, leading Circe to be defensive when around men and thinking all men are pigs. But Odysseus actually being loyal gave her hope that not all men are pigs, so she decided to help him.
I dare you to find a woman who wouldn't be impressed with a man staying loyal to his wife after over a decade of separation. Regardless of era, that is just *impressive.*
No Circe saw how much he genuinely loves Penelope his wife. And she realized he isn't like the other men who have come to her island. Anyone who falls for her tricks proves her point and justifies her turning them or killing them. She pulled all the stops and in the end he treated her as a person and equal in battle and outside it. She liked that. She wants to send him back home to his wife if he's this loyal to her.
I love the line “maybe one day the world will need a puppeteer no more, or maybe one day the world will need a puppeteer more.” Like I don’t know why but I love that line.
One fun, though wholely unconfirmed theory that i nonetheless like, is that the Moly ran out of power, and so Circe was able to use her magic on him. Hermes specified that it will only last until the battle was won, and Ody very clearly declared "You've lost.", ending the Moly's effects - he declared himself the victor before the loser acted in kind. This also means that Ody was not only able to avoid her charm, but he was able to push through the magic of a literal demi-god through how much he loves his wife, and i think thats sweet :D
Circe isn't a demi-god,she is a minor goddess and an enchantress or a sorceress-goddess.A demi-god is someone whose parents are a god and a mortal woman (like Heracles who has Zeus The God of the Sky for a father & Alcmene a mortal woman for a mother).Circe's father is Helios The Titan of the Sun and her mother is an Oceanid named Perse/Perseis.
actually someone died on the circe saga elpenor and the thing is nobody noticed him being dead but the way he died is so different he drink wşne on top of circe palace fell and broke his neck lol
Not a spoiler but a joke based on a funny behind the scenes thing so idk if you'd really want to read this. 5:58 Elpenor is just here like "... Bruh..."

I drank wine from a chalice on top of circe’s palace, and broke my neck and fell in shame.

It's because of the sheer hope in that line, she had her faith in men restored after such a long time(which is incredibly sweet)

I was about to comment the same thing😭
There’s no recorded beef between her and Poseidon…but tbh who doesn’t have beef with Poseidon lol
My Underworld Saga recommendations are TheeArteest for The Underworld, Ximena Natzel for No Longer You, and Gigi for Monster
Many things can be said about Odysseus...but if nothing else, the man DEFINITELY has love and loyalty toward his wife! 😂
Onward till we find the prophet, down in
The Underworld
"I DIED, AND NOBODY NOTICED..."
Circe's ending belt-out line is stunning, I will never stop raving about it, it lifts my spirit every time I hear it ^_^
