Wisconsin Trout Fishing - 6/27/2024

Quite a good evening here with Adam. We decided to hit a lower river section looking for some bigger fish. What we got was a lot of action. 50+ browns to hand and one pike. A small hammer handle caught by Adam. We did sight two larger fish, including a high flying 19" female that made it to the net thanks to Adam's gymnastic prowess. hahaha. Many dinkers in this spot. The mosquitoes where absolutely insane. Also, add in a dose of gnats as well. DEET and BUGGs did their job, but the DEET needed mucho reapplication give the sweaty wet river environment. This has been the best season in my memory as far as healthy water levels and cool water temps go. Trout are definitely happy right now
