I always say vocals don't have to be incredibly complex when the person singing it is putting pure emotion into it, and singing lyrics they feel with their whole heart. Especially watching the video, you see a dude that has had just incredible, full life, he has zero regrets, he wrote a damn song about it, he's singing it TO you and you feel exactly what he's feeling in every word. I'm 45 and I hope when I'm his age I can look back and feel the exact same way. I lost my father too. He was my best friend. And I watched him face away from this Earth feeling he wasn't done. That, and songs like this, inspire me to not waste a day.
I obviously don’t know you personally, but I love you and very sorry for your loss! I lost my mom last year, and at times it still doesn’t seem real. Today is my birthday and the first one that I know for sure I will not receive a call from her wishing me a happy one. And that last year was the last time ever. This song nearly broke me, but in a good way somehow. I don’t even know how that’s possible. Thank you for your reaction to it! This song was not even on my radar and didn’t know I needed to hear it, but I guess I did. Thanks again! I wish you and your family well!! Rick you are such a strong person, I lost my dad 4 months ago. I found a picture of me and my dad when I was just a baby. You stay strong Rick I know this isn’t easy sweetie ❤
Brother... i been watching ya since your right after you lost your dad. I feel your pain. Im 49 now but i was only 16 when my mom passed away. I was the baby of 6 children. One song that actually helped me was done by THE ESCAPE CLUB.... its called ILL BE THERE.... you should really react to that song. You will feel your loved one is singing it to you from heaven.
