The years have gone by, but his voice hasn't aged a day. He's still got pipes like no other.
These lyrics hit on a whole different level of pain when you have lost one of your children.
Yes this seems to be happening more than usual. Parents burying their children. They out flew us it's the only answer. Sorrow but we have to keep going for the ones we still have. Children nieces nephews, we have to be here for them as an older generation.❤
@stephenkarla7113 funny that you should reply today, the 2nd anniversary of my son’s death.
Thank you for the kind words. So very much appreciated.
Sending you love and strength.

I saw him in Nashville several years ago, have always loved his music esp this one !!
Sad to see him age, but like they say: sure beats the alternative. Lovin me some J.A.
I've been fortunate to see live in concert of so many legends of County music , Cash, Waylon, Jones, Merle,, Tammy, Loretta Nelson, and the list goes on and on .. I'm a lucky man to have John Anderson on that list. Thank you for all the years of music John.
Keep recording John, you have an audience of true fans out here, and your songs are as relevant and heart-felt as always. We can't get enough of your brand of country. Thank you for the Years of music you've shared with us!
God Bless You John Anderson!
Masterpiece!
My late teen years crush is back. I followed John through his early years in central Florida, countless concerts at the Lake County fair and local festivals. I even attended the Helena Chemical Christmas party one year as a guest of one of their clients, John and the band were the entertainment . They had been a past employer of John's ! To this day I still cry every time I hear the song , I just came home to count the memories , that song will always have a special place in my heart. John's voice is still as strong and as distinguished as ever ! Welcome Back John , I've missed you.
Rose Browning “ I just came home to count the memories” is my favorite John Anderson song too
❤❤❤
