Totally agree, John sings some covers that I like better than the original. I’ve said many times that if John Anderson covers it, he does it better.

I listened to this about 30 times at work today. Had to put my beats earbuds under my blutooth earmuffs because 3M limits the volume and when she belts out "sorrow" in perfect pitch, it needs to be LOUD. Amazing.

I just saw Sierra in her hometown of Charleston, WV at tiny bar called the Empty Glass. It was a fun post show night at the glass! Her and other local musicians graced the stage of the empty glass just to have a little fun. It was an amazing night!!

I feel similarly. This is folk Americana, a genre of the people, of the backwoods and hollars. Modern country barely holds a candle to this powerhouse.

you've got a lot of wonderful learning to do. i recommend starting with Ken Burns amazing documentary series "Country Music" so you see how rich the history is and how things connect and how far modern day "country" is from this kind of music Sierra sings, which is way more connected to the lineage than the crap pop Nashville churns out @@LimitedHandles
