First Xbox IV owned and I'm ready to throw it thru a window, cheaply made plastic shit 1week old already over heating
Ps5 control is 100x better, can set the trigger sensitivity, the motors make things interesting
Overall the ps5 is ALOT better, dunno why I bothered to get an Xbox

The problem is you cleaned the exterior of the system, think about how much dust is still inside and on the cpu/gpu. Take that second layer off (Be careful taking it apart and putting it back together) and clean it.
1) You pretty much only cleaned the surface of the ps4. You need to open it completely to be able to get rid of all the dust
2) It's probably your heatsink. Thermal pad on it might even dried up cause of all the build up dust, so you'd need to replace it and find out what the thickness of the thermal pad is before you end up buying a random one.
3:13 never let the fan move like that while its off because it will create an electrical current and will shorten the life of the motherboard inside

Voltage, current is too low to do damage to motherboard or capacitors etc. It can spin for a little bit, it actually helps to clean the fan, but he did that for too much and its better to not risk it, cuz something may be damaged or old

So i had the same issue with my ps4 fat...i opened it and cleared everything very good,but still the loudness didn't go away at all! After a lot of research i found out that maybe it was the thermal paste that needed to be replaced.so i found a tutorial on how to disassembly my ps4 , changed the thermal paste and after that it was completely fixed! Although if you don't feel confident disassembling your ps4 , its better to be done by someone who has the technical expertise!

Overheating isn't a good thing, you better clean it, it wont last long when it doesn't cool properly.
When heatsink is completely covered by dust then there will be no cooling...

You need to clean the heatsink. It's the narrow portion right above where the fan sits. Take that out and blow all that dust out of that (and you might as well check the power supply while you're at it) and that should quiet it down if it's just a dust issue.

Clean the heatsink, if you open it up further you will find the heatsink will be full of dust buildup. If you confident enough you can also remove the board completely and reapply thermalpads on the vrms and clean and put new thermalpaste on the die. If your fan does not slow down after a while it means it's not getting sufficient cooling so it runs constantly at 100%.

I had exactly the same sound.
I dismantled my PS4 Pro in parts, literally in each part, took every single screw out.
Used alcohol to clean from dust, removed heatsink and cleaned it from dust as well
and it was almost fully covered by it and that's where the noise problem mainly is. (Like Yours)
I cleaned the chip from old thermal paste that Sony used on it and then replaced with new thermal paste.
(If you add too much thermal paste then the chip will overheat, to know how much thermal paste to put on it you can look around TH-cam)
I put my PS4 Pro back in one piece.
Its been a week when I cleaned mine and there is no noise at all.
I play open world game and it takes a ton of resources and yet, no noise, its like a brand new PS4 Pro on my desk.
You're system is not cooling properly, it is overheated and the fan will spin faster then it should because its trying to cool it down.
You're heatsink is also covered by dust, you may get lucky just to use air can and remove some of the dust on heatsink from where the fan is
without taking You're system in parts, but its not what I'm recommending to do.
Leaving huge amount dust in may and will cause more problems on air flow.
PS4 Pro use Secure Torx 9 screws (You will need a Torx 9 screwdriver that has a hole in middle)
(At least mine was with Secure Torx 9 Screws)
Wrong, ps4 pros are just trash there all sound like a jet, my brand new pro sounds like that and so did my mates, sold it and got a one x million times quieter

My mans is randomly funny
The fan pushes air through a heat sink that consist of many metal fins closely stacked together. However, the side of the fan usually gets clogged up with dust. It pushes the air through the power supply as well.
If you don't clean out that heat sink the effectiveness of the cooling won't change. You either need something like a compressor that is strong enough to push out the dust through the vents on the back, through the PSU and through the heat sink or take it all apart and clean it that way, taking it apart is a bigger job though and does require stuff like thermal paste to re-apply it.
I just booted up my ps4 slim and i hear like a weird like noise not the fan but i got scared and turned it off.Shoulds me be scared?I just cleaned it too and nothing happend i dont wanna change the thermal paste cuz i send my ps4 to fix/clean and it takes like 3 weeks.It sounded like a small drill

Here's how to take off the lid more easily:
Wedge a screwdriver between the layers under the Sony and the PS4 logo/ corners. Now grip the handle and the end of the screwdriver and pull upwards. When replacing, set it down and slide it backwards

Thanks for the video. However, as with gaming systems and especially laptops (some desktops), you want to clean as best as you can and SUCK the dust & debris out of the machine. Blowing the dust and debris with compressed air can actually drive the debris further into your machine, lodging it into places you don’t want it to be. If possible, take apart as many components as possible and hand clean/vacuum out as much as you can.

Tip: remove the down cover. Ur gonna need only one tiny screwdriver to get the on screw of and then it will open just like the upper part. My self I found out that there was even more pure dust than in upper part. And it also made my Ps much more silent.

You do realize using canned air is actually a bad method, what ur actually doing is pushing the dust back into the PS4. A better way is to use a clean & new toothbrush along with an Q-Tip. This will help keep the dust from going into the PS4 even more

The fan is running like that because your processor is heating up. You most likely made it worse by blowing all of the dust into the heat sink. You should really clean that out too. Good video though. I watched it to figure out how to remove the top. The original ps4 was so much easier to take apart. You should be able to blow out the heat sink by removing to power supply.
