  • What's up everybody?! Does your PS4 have a loud fan? Does it get so loud that you question if there's something actually wrong with it? Don't worry, it's more than likely dirty. In this video, I show you how I disassemble and clean my disgusting PS4. This is the 1215 model and there aren't very many videos out there covering this. In this video, I take it slow so you can follow along and do this yourself. Most, if not all, parts and tools can be found at any of your local stores.

For anyone wonder I haven't cleaned my ps4 since 2015 (that's when I got it) and today was the first time I cleaned it, now there's no noise, fans are spinning quietly, and it's as good as new! Id rate the difficulty of this a 1.5 out of 5 only because people seem to have an issue with the prying (which I did too for like 30 seconds), what I did was use a prying tool but I know a lot of people don't have that so I reused a flathead screwdriver and it worked just as well. It's a bit scary cause you think something is going to break but there were no issues whatsoever.

Quiet as a mouse too, quicker too with the 1TB SSD upgrade. The original 500GB drive was clicking/beeping when I went to diagnos it on a PC.

good video; one thing to note is static electricity can kill components quickly. typically electronic savvy folks use alcohol and q-tips to clean areas beyond the air can (as canned air is treated as anti static) Alcohol provides very little residue during the cleanup and swabbing with a 150 pack of q-tips is affordable. THE SWIFFER CAN BE A BAD TOOL! Not many are made for anti static and electrical usage. Understand it takes less than 5v of electrical energy to fry an IC (integrated circuit) or chip as most know them. Majority run on less then a volt of DC power and more run on mV. Applaud you for the detail of your video.

TO ANYONE WHO WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE BOTTOM COVER:
i couldn't get it open either for like 35 minutes then i realized my model (CUH 115A) is a bit different and had two more sticker seals on the bottom that had screws under, these stickers were harder to get off and i needed to scrape at them with tweezers, got those screws out and was able to pop the bottom cover off in 10 seconds
