Giving you enough time to save your progress and shut your system off properly to prevent data loss/corruption or even continue playing for a while with the more expensive/larger variants. With UPS' you're essentially paying for the battery size so you can find them for as low as 30 bucks all the way to hundreds of dollars, but you get what you pay for. I started using UPS' on my consoles and my PC and I never went back to power strips again. Best part is, most of the batteries are affordable (depending on how much you paid for the UPS initially) and readily available.

Minor adjustment, although the HDMI cable included with every console might give the same quality, the PS4 doesn't allow the HDR function with the standard cable. I realized this when I couldn't set the option on for my Sony 4K TV. After buying the advanced cable, not so expensive either, the HDR function was adjustable.
@@iThunder That is not correct, HDMI cables without Ethernet do not run HDR or ARC features. HDMI cables with Ethernet have more bandwidth for said features.
I would like to say that the HDMI cord thing is a little misleading. I have personally purchased “bargain bin” HDMI cables that do not support ARC or HDR. I purchased said cable and every time I tried to use either on my tv that supported ARC and HDR, I couldn’t get either to function no matter what I tried. Not saying all “bargain bin” cords are a bad idea, but something to keep in mind if you want ARC or HDR support.
Ive noticed gold infused cables are the perfect match for my 1060, linus tech tips even did a vid and showed like you said but they were even slowing down the signal
Actually you might have some trouble with the PS4 and some cheap HDMI cables, some of them made with bad quality materials would break easily, also some may not be able to deliver content in 4K and/or HDR due to limitations of cheap materials (i.e. the type of metal the cable is made). Cheap cables may also cause interference and artifacts.

Dude, the ps4 is not like the pc, all information (excluding screenshots and vids) for a game is in one file, so there is no way you can mess up a game by deleting a random file, it’s impossible. But PC on the other hand...
PenaPVP You can delete a part of a container file too. Why do it though? Unless you want to inject mods in that file. A thing that is getting more popular on computers (well, Linux ones anyway) is app files. These remain a single container after install. So there is really nothing inherently saying computer software must be files all over the place.

I have a comment about the HDMi quality, I was using an old HDMi cable that I had since I bought my original ps4 way back when. This cable was not HDR compliant and so proves that some HDMi cables are different, the cheap ones are OK, just check that you're getting what you're after as some newer cables also allow ARC control through HDMi also

Make sure to buy a surge protector! Some surge protectors even give you more outlets! Surge protectors are cheap and a win-win! Some power surges even have a built-in battery which can help you during software updates.
FYI, not all HDMI cables are the same. Pin 13 (cec) sometimes are not connected on some cheap cables. Some ground pins may not be connected either. And sometimes the shield aren't connected.

This keeps on happening to me that I thought the HDMI cable was plugged but it was not plugged in the PS4 told it's gonna damage or data might corrupt.
The hdmi thing triggers me, although the hdmi cables do offer similar quality, there are many different types of hdmi (1.4, 2.0, 2.1 etc) and some of these may not do 4K 60, for example, hdmi 1.4 can only do 4K 30. In this case your TV may be great but your hdmi is limiting you!
There's 1 more thing. 11: Never delete your favorite game that ended. If you delete a game you love and just got cancelled from the playstation store, You'll permanently lose access to the game you love. (Especially Dreams)
Pretty sure you can redownload any game that has been delisted. I recently redownloaded Digimon Story Cybersleuth on my Vita despite it being delisted in early 2019

Important message to ps4 users🛑🛑 A month ago i turned my ps4 on...it was on rest mode and i wait for it like four hours to turn on but it doesn't all i was seeing is the orang rest mode light blinking.... after all that time standing there just watching the blinking light i did what I shouldn't do...unplugged the ac power cord and the ps4 just started to die...i turned it back on. every time i start a game it says that the system have corrupted data, turning off while playing, freezes, getting very slow i tried to restore it and to rebuild the data base but it didn't fix the issue . I read a lot about what the blinking orang light means and I understood that my ps4 was updating the system software while in rest mode and I unplugged it... i don't know why it was stuck in updating and the only thing that fixed it was sending it to the sony factory to replace the hard disk. so my version of what you shouldn't do to your ps4: 1.don't put it to rest mode and if you do so just make sure to turn off the keep connected to the internet while in rest mode option 2.don't u ever ever ever never unplug the ac power cord when any color of light is blinking that's will f*** up your hard disk

EEYYT00 if you have it in rest mode then it’ll download before hand, you can complete it offline, I’ve done it before. And if you don’t have WiFi then you can still play your offline games so not much of a problem

This cable was not HDR compliant and so proves that some HDMi cables are different, the cheap ones are OK, just check that you're getting what you're after as some newer cables also allow ARC control through HDMi also

FYI, not all HDMI cables are the same. Pin 13 (cec) sometimes are not connected on some cheap cables. Some ground pins may not be connected either. And sometimes the shield aren't connected.

The hdmi thing triggers me, although the hdmi cables do offer similar quality, there are many different types of hdmi (1.4, 2.0, 2.1 etc) and some of these may not do 4K 60, for example, hdmi 1.4 can only do 4K 30. In this case your TV may be great but your hdmi is limiting you!
With the storm problem just invest in a good Serge protection extension cord

A month ago i turned my ps4 on...it was on rest mode and i wait for it like four hours to turn on but it doesn't all i was seeing is the orang rest mode light blinking.... after all that time standing there just watching the blinking light i did what I shouldn't do...unplugged the ac power cord and the ps4 just started to die...i turned it back on. every time i start a game it says that the system have corrupted data, turning off while playing, freezes, getting very slow i tried to restore it and to rebuild the data base but it didn't fix the issue . I read a lot about what the blinking orang light means and I understood that my ps4 was updating the system software while in rest mode and I unplugged it... i don't know why it was stuck in updating and the only thing that fixed it was sending it to the sony factory to replace the hard disk. so my version of what you shouldn't do to your ps4:
1.don't put it to rest mode and if you do so just make sure to turn off the keep connected to the internet while in rest mode option
2.don't u ever ever ever never unplug the ac power cord when any color of light is blinking that's will f*** up your hard disk
So what can I do if my PS4 has a blinking light? It's just stuck there and none of the buttons work?

I eventually unplugged it, but I hated doing that because it's such a hard boot. It could be from corrupted files because it occurred after I downloaded an update to one of my games. Thanks for confirming, the previous comment said not to unplug, but that is the only option.
You can unplug it just put it in full power off mode

EEYYT00 if you have it in rest mode then it’ll download before hand, you can complete it offline, I’ve done it before. And if you don’t have WiFi then you can still play your offline games so not much of a problem

It's not about the download... Once the update files download they have to install, if the power goes out during the installation then there's a problem

6:35 Well...that's not true. You see there are 2 types of HDMI. HDMI and HDMI 2. It's like how there's USB2 and USB3. USB3 is faster than USB2 (also USB2 supports more devices than the no longer used USB1).
My point is HDMI2 or "High Speed HDMI" will give you a noticeable quality boost IF you are watching 4K or 3D content. But if you just use PURELY 1080p 2D then...Ya you don't need the high speed.
