    I actually missed this video and only watched the initial offering of the Omega trigger package video. Ended up sending bunch of needless comments/feedback/question to Johnny and Wick; sorry on that. Everything johnny described and demonstrated here was exactly how it was on my Alpha/Omega trigger, it’s scary awesome. The only thing that did not work for me was that when I installed the C-Clamp washer It made the tolerance out of whack and the striker would not release unless I press hard on it.

    I just got a G19x & noticed the gritty long hard trigger pull.
    I just used Flitz & my Dremel tool to polish everything, the trigger bar, connector, etc. Then I noticed the when I put the block back in. The trigger bar rubs against the frame! I lightly sanded the inside of the frame & now she's nice & smooth!! I don't hear or see much about this bar rubbing inside the frame, I believe I seen 1 of your older videos about it. But there's no tolerance when you drop that block back inside the frame

    Great video, as usual. Which connector, in your opinon, gives the most crisp and short break with the Timney trigger in a Gen 5?

  • @arlissyoung8899
    @arlissyoung8899 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I got 3 of these, they had to send me the red spring because the trigger wouldn't return. After that it was game on. All Gen 5s. These triggers are the only reason I got the Glocks. Never wanted because of the triggers. I must say these really make the worth having.

    Johnny what's your thoughts on the marine spring cups? I'm not gonna run out and blast rounds in my kids pool, just rain or dropped in a puddle, just wondering.

      I believe Johnny recommends using one Marine cup & one Factory cup which still gives your channel open for water while maintaining reliability.

    Great to see Johnny on a hump day . You still have any gen3 Glock triggers for a P80 build in my future? Also folks go too Marine gun builder & he's got a ATF link to put your comments on about ATFs proposal of changing the definition of A Firearm if passed will require all gun parts to go through a FFL. Only 40,000 comments so we all need to light these Communists ATF site up to let them know we ain't setting this one out.

    I bought your combat conversion kit for gen 5 19 and installed the timney trigger in you kit and when I press on the top part of the trigger is pushes down on the other half of the cruciform. Not sure if this is supposed to happen and if I can fix that myself.

  • @melhayworth1722

    FYI. I’ve lived in NC most of my life and the Highlands area is beautiful. Just be careful around all the the falls. If it says stay off an area please do it. We have too many deaths every year because some just feel the need to go to far or where they aren’t supposed to be. I wouldn’t want you or your family to become a statistic.

    • @douglasphillips24
      @douglasphillips24 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same here in Appalachian mountains where out of towners don't respect the warnings on Falls & high cliffs then become another statistic on the long list of deaths. Alot of Kids & foreigners too.

    Have you ever felt the need to polish the striker channel on the slide & would doing so be counterintuitive to smooth operation?

  • @Razor6On3

    @JohnnyGlock, could i safely replace the spring in the timney alpha module to increase the weight of the trigger for carry? I have one of your combat triggers so this is just a project i am working on.

    Would dropping this trigger into a brand new Glock leave the trigger with a higher than 2lb pull, at least until the Glock is broken in?

  • @DallasJonez

    Do you not recommend messing with the trigger safety to get more take up out. As in removing some of the red portion behind the shoe so it can be further dialed and more take up removed?

    • @josev1544
      @josev1544 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your idea is actually great but you can only reduce the rear safety so that the crucible does not come off the shelf. otherwise you eliminate the drop safety. JG cannot legally recommend you do this.

    • @DallasJonez
      @DallasJonez 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@josev1544 yes exactly, and I understand that 100% I believe that's how he had his personal glock modified on the wall with ALL the take up removed. I may buy a 2nd timney trigger to try that lol

    7:34 Am I missing something, or does the sear being freely movable now make it no longer drop safe?

    • @Turbolious
      @Turbolious 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The plunger up front of it is still in the way. So its still the same level of safety. Actually a little more, becaue that sear may be freely movable but when in the gun it is pushing against the striker lug, which in turn would stop it from freely moving as well during a drop.

    • @Hammerback0
      @Hammerback0 ปีที่แล้ว

      Timney Alpha Glock triggers are drop safe. I put one in my Glock 40 MOS, and tested the drop safety many times. Never once failed.

    What do we do when you still get nothing but light strikes even with a factory striker spring?

    • @mr.aces5219
      @mr.aces5219 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A stronger firing pin spring .

    • @josev1544
      @josev1544 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thoroughly inspect and clean the striker channel and sleeve. check the cups for smoothness, something has to be interfereing.

    • @josev1544
      @josev1544 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      also verify if the tip of the striker is damaged or does not protrude enough. the solution is not a stronger spring unless the factory spring is damaged.

    • @tylerdtharp
      @tylerdtharp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope to all of those. Works perfectly fine with any other trigger.

    I would never send you a gun because you do not understand the difference between pins out and pins in. Nit pick? No, when you do sloppy work on the little things I’ve seen enough

    • @Hammerback0
      @Hammerback0 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One year later and the doors have locked on this business due to the misspeak over pins. No tellin how many lives were lost due to the "sloppy" work, no longer avoiding the safety of all the kids using Timney triggers and JG kits. Its been said this comment set the lawsuits in action, causing his demise. Pins. In. Out. Sloppy. Keyboard gunsmiths.
