I’d rather listen to a not so perfect singer, not meaning them lol, giving a heartfelt performance than listen to a below average singer with auto tune. Auto tune and certain technologies are going to destroy our culture. It’s a shame.
So you think electrifying guitars and basses lessen "real, actual talent"? How about the recording process? Does using microphones, effects and tape in this case, reduce talent as well? 😂
@@wmden1 I've always waffled, Judith or Karen Carpenter? But Karen left us far too soon and Judith was still singing, still brilliant at 71 with the Seekers farewell tour finale with "I Am Australian" when she had to use a stool to rest against and still broke hearts with her voice.
Judith was a soprano...you should her sing '500 miles' and 'Danny boy.' Her voice was nothing short of perfection. R.I.P. sweet lady, for you the carnival will never be over.
Keith Potger - one of the 2 guitarists - lives near me in a little town on the outskirts of Canberra, Australia. He's 83, and he still performs for his local community in a little abandoned theatre across the street from his house.
What a wonder that is Judith Durham's voice. No one sings like her. She is un-mistakable when you hear her voice. I have seen her sing live, and she sings without any effort at all. Sadly she has now passed away, and my heart is truly broken, but I know she will never be forgotten. She is a National Treasure of Australia. I love her.
