- I replaced a oil pressure sensor in a 2013 Cadillac Escalade AWD Premium. By the book the whole intake is supposed to be removed to do this job but I found a way to do it without removing the intake.
The Link to how to remove the sensor plug • Oil Pressure Sensor W...
link is super helpful because if you do this job like I did you will have to unplug the sensor blind.
This video and tje link on how to take the pigtail off saved me about $450 in labor from the shop...thank you so much. This was a huge help!
Just did this today without removing ANYTHING AT ALL except the pigtail and the sensor itself!!! No hoes or lines removed AT ALL! Its possible guys just take your time! And I have big hands!💯💯💯👍🏽
I have to replace that on my Cadillac as well. I'm not looking forward to it
Great job on this video. I jist bought a used Escalade and that oil pressure sensor code is what. I got and video helped me out alott. Keep them Coming
Thank you so much for your video. I could have not done it without your video & another. Thanks for the link in the description to how to take the electrical connection off. I would have never figured that out without that video.
Your socket size did not seem to work for me, it seemed too small. I don't know, maybe I pulled the wrong socket out. I did find that Harbor Freights 1/2" 27mm deep wall socket for $4.99 was nice and snug, it worked perfectly. Thanks again.
Thank you your video is the best one! I had a hell of a time getting that clip off and your video is the only one I found that addressed that exact issue.
What part number did you get the replacement I got from Autozone AC Delco is a flat plug not oval. Mine also did not come with a filter either.
The filter definitely came out of mine and the new one went in perfect as well. So I'm not sure where you're getting your info.
Aparently it's just the automatics that use that filter and not the manual cars.
What tools did you use im having this problem.
Use a 1/16 inc deep socket tool you can buy at any auto store. 6 inch extension any wrench a pick for the screen or a long bolt like he used. I used a hanger wire.
Hey what did where is it at on my SRX 2012
You don't have to unhook the full line. The pcv valve tube only. I changed mine in my 2010 gmc sierra 5.3 in 30 mins. You can also use just a 6 inch extender
I mean, this a 6.2 lol.
How do you get the clip off????? 0:09
Excuse me, how do u check the oil psi
Mine didn’t had oil but was bad
The filters for the 5.3 engine not the 6.2
Good stuff thanks
I just did this after a couple days of fighting with the clip, even fully understanding the clip it was still a pain to unplug. I left the fuel line on but removed one of the plastic lines and was able to access it easier. It was a b*tch but better than paying a mechanic $400
OMG whyyy didn't ypu mention how you ended up getting that clip off 😢 I can't do it. 4 hours now!
How do you remove the clip ????
Click the link in the description. It goes to another video that will help you
Where exactly is the filter I can feel anything men
Apparently some vehicles have the filter and some don't. I'm not sure which will have it and which won't but mine had a filter underneath the oil sender/sensor. Once the sensor is removed you can stick your finger in the hole the sensor came out of and you can feel the plastic tips of the filter if you have one. Perhaps try using a mirror and a flash light and look down the hole the sensor came out of and then you should be able to see if you have a filter or not.
Why are you breathing so heavy?
Because this job sucks!
How do you get the clip off?????
Look at the link in the description for another video that helps you know how to undo the clip
