    That heat is deadly down there, up here it's so rare to see this. Ha no rust but I can see you have repairs to make up for it. Cheers Brian.

      I think I'd rather deal with oil leaks than rust. You guys up there have it rough.

    Can you replace the pcv valve or do you have to replace the pcv cover with the valve?

    What was the reason for replacing the gaskets ? I have the same rig and it recently just started giving me a puff a blue smoke when I start it , I've been hearing a lot of " replace the pvc valve " or the " diver side valve cover gasket " , just wondering if you're doing it for that reason , thanks and great video

      Jason B on this particular truck it was because of oil leaks. Replacing the PCV valve is probably a good idea to start with. The PCV valve helps the engine breathe and if it goes bad it can make you smoke. If you replace the PCV valve and the smoke still persist then you have a valve seal or piston ring problem.

      Does the PCV valve come integrated into a new valve cover?

    Did you have to drain all the engine oil before removing the Valve Cover?

    what's best to clean VC with??

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      b4evareal79 I would use an engine degreaser The type you buy 1 gallon and makes yourself it works better than the spray canned stuff. I like the brand Zep. Purple Engine degreaser
