Children having Botox should be illegal. I can’t imagine it not having a negative effect on her growth and development much less her mental state. The mother said she gives her the shots. She and whomever she gets Botox from should be arrested.
DIY Botox kits at the pharmacy???!!!! People don’t know where it’s safe to inject and no manual could be big enough to cover everything you’d need to know. I’m a pharmacist and I guarantee you, people would bring it up to ask for counseling - no way, sorry all, but I don’t know where to put it either. And doing that to kids is criminal and I’m glad they got that mom’s face on the show. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m judging her.
I just got Botox for migraines for the first time last week. I didn't realize that among the 31 standard injections are 3 around the eyebrows. I told my doctor I was worried about getting 'reality star face' and the told me not to worry about that. She encouraged me to do it anyway because this is part of the therapeutic standard injections and I should get the full treatment. She said we are doing a much lower dose and that reality star face won't happen. But it's totally happening!! I had no wrinkles before this. And now that my eyebrows are mostly paralyzed, there's all these weird bumps and creases on my forehead when i'm trying to emote. And it fucking hurts, actually. When I'm just chilling on my own I don't have pain, but if I'm having a conversation and just laughing along normally, I get a bunch of pain in my forehead I guess cause the muscles can't move. It's really horrible. I hate the way it looks and I never signed up for this. It totally makes me look older. It hurts. I wish I could reverse it.

This is why I prefer to watch British tv shows. The people look normal, have normal faces, normal wrinkles, can make normal expressions, have normal teeth and smiles. The obsession with look plastic is disturbing. I'm not against people doing what they want but I think once somebody starts it's a slippery slope. People don't notice the things we don't like about ourselves as much as we think they do. I prefer a face with character. Botox on children is diabolical. Those parents should be charged.
Pretty sure I’ve seen a British program precisely about British people getting cosmetic surgery/botox/fillers. Anyone know which series I’m talking about? It was a while ago and I can’t remember the title. Anyway, it’s everywhere. Yes, even in Britain. The actors you think are “natural” have gotten tweaked in some way. It’s kind of silly thinking otherwise. 🤭
@@stevnicoe Love Island UK and Geordie Shore for me are examples of what you said. I don't think Kerry realises the UK has filler face even worse than the USA. I'm Aussie and we're starting to get it bad here too

Dr. Linkov, We knew a child in the 1980’s who contracted botulism from improperly canned vegetables. She was in ICU fighting for her life. It left an indelible mark on us. She survived and recovered. When this trend began, I couldn’t imagine injecting a poison into the skin for surface beauty. 🤷♀️. Accept aging.
I got botox and lip filler twice. After watching your videos, i am considering not getting them again. It has been 6 months already, so far i am happy with my look. Exercising more helped. Might change my mind in summer again, hopefully not
As we age it's normal to want to maintain a youthful reflection but the insanity of obsession with your appearance reminds me of saying that came from a weight loss doctor in So Cal. She said it's not what you're eating, it's what's eating you. There was a time when plastic surgeons actually counseled their patients to make sure they were doing things for the "right" reasons but thats all flown out the window now and mothers who are doing this to their children should be arrested for child endangerment. Just to plant the seed of insecurity in your child is truly a parents reflection of themselves as they live vicariously through their daughters. I was a patient of Dr Garth in BH CA and hes now doing the K family and frankly I have 2 surgeries that paint a whole different picture of future results. No one is thinking about tomorrow, it's all about now and that raging self gratification. Tomorrow comes and it's not pretty.
Why would this being done to and promoted as a good thing, for a child surprise you? They are telling kids that they are not what they were born as, and that they need to take meds to stop NORMAL bodily processes. Then, they will get surgery to remove parts. I would think THAT would be shocking. This is just one minor thing on the continuum toward those life altering surgeries, and a life time of medications. (Highly TOXIC too.)
I love how straight talking Stephanie Lange is. 15:45 I have TMJ but never had botox, as yet. It's the pterygoids that you need to release with massage for TMJ. The idea of injecting into masseters seems redundant to me. As soon as the pterygoids are released the masseters stop overfiring.
The worst combo.. I regret doing both. Botox made my eyebrow droop, hairline recede and overall made my forehead bigger. Never recovered to pre botox. Fillers made an unnatural appearance and they migrate. If you must do something stick to sculptra or prf or ezgel.
That is absolutely insane to use botox on a child. Im in my early 40s and have been getting it for several years. Im an adult who can make that decision for myself. If and when i get to the point i dont like it i can stop. I only go to my derms office for anything like this and our local hospital is right acrosa the street. *Skin discoloration also makes people look older. I am blessed with melasma and it is a huge pain to treat. This is probably a big contributer to the other treatments i get. I can't do much about my melasma so i focus on other things that i can fix.
Even highly experienced injectors (like in my pain) can do a lot of damage in conjunction with some hidden problem in the patient's body- 2x glabela botox without any problems. Then to the forehead and glabela-consequence? Two months after injection, still swollen eyes every morning, brow ptosis, eyelid ptosis, droopy eyes - still now, blurred vision, and a headache for three weeks. Not to mention, I still can't move my forehead at all for two months, but the wrinkles I wanted to remove the most, and actually the only ones I let my doctor talk me into, are back - the glabella ones.
I'm turning 40, and I get severe migraines. My specialist keeps recommending botox to help it's been a hard no from the very beginning. My dad had a girlfriend once back in the early 2000s she was someone who was all about her body image and used to always be a target of hers, telling me that size 8 was fat. I also had a boyfriend who told me that when I gained a small amount of weight that showed in my face, he didn't want to be the only guy in his friends group that had the fat girlfriend. These experiences took a long term effects on me. It led to an ED. I am healthy now, but had I had the money, then I would have leaned on procedures to what everyone else pointed out and what I hated about myself.
I just turned 30 and I definetly have dynamic wrinkles and I couldn't imagine if I would have tried botox in my early twenties because I am perfectly okay with what my "wrinkles" look like now.
@queenciara12 oh I wouldn’t get it! I was just saying I couldn’t imagine if I would have started Botox at a younger age and not been able to see myself naturally age and realize I was fine. I have a really solid skincare routine with sunscreen daily :)
I’ve had my first Botox and I love it, I don’t have too much and can still express myself but it’s helped stop my overly expressive face, which I’m also trying to reduce through therapy because I’m overly performative when anxious (every day lol) I think it’s about having an ethical practitioner and a healthy relationship with procedures

A long time friend who is black entered his daughter into “beauty” pageants all over the state from a very young age. Fast forward… she’s married and in her 40s. I asked her father why she never had kids. Fibroids! Fibroids brought on no doubt by all the hair relaxers. One can only imagine what women who are growing up today will face as a result of all these insane treatments!!!
@@JamiLaundry no doubt they mentioned the friend is black not to mention their skin colour but their hair type, which is related to the use of relaxers. There might be a link between relaxers and an increased risk of having uterine fibroids, but we can't say any individual's fibroids are related to the use of relaxers.
I had to give injections for my son and it was horrifying! I can't imagine injecting myself and someone else on their face! They're not even wearing any gloves and not cleaning the area first. Why??!! What if they do it incorrectly and inject the wrong areas. Also, why on children???!!!!
Dr Gary....not sure if you're willing to provide an answer but.... I went for fat dissolving injections in November (kybella) in my stomach. The day after until day 3, I was fevered and had chills and exhausted. The area had swelled which was stated to be normal but it also was extremely red and looked to be a rash. I had no surface signs of infection. All of the symptoms completely disappeared on day 4. After doing some reading and talking with the practitioner, I was told that the flu like symptoms were unrelated to the treatment. I am worrying a bit about continuing treatments in case the flu like symptoms return but worse. Please advise if those symptoms are generally reported and caused by kybella. Thank you!
It is always mothers. Toxicity with capital letters. And I am a mother of three kids. Please bring fathers to the picture and protect the kids! Come on who allows that to even be possible for the women to perform it.. Sweet Lord
I’m an Aesthetician going on 32 years. I’ve seen it all. Botox along with fillers is NOT the answer. Also injection and placement is key. Why would anyone take the risk? There are many more holistic treatments that can help. It just takes more time but not so much more money. So sad to see these beautiful young women and also men to abuse their faces with these procedures.
I'm not saying they should do it, but the reason some people do their own tox (from South Korea) is because it's so expensive to get it done. There's lots of diy tox videos out there walking people through how to do it. 🤷♀️

I agree with you entirely!!! I genuinely hope DHS caught wind of this somehow. It’d be considered abuse I would imagine? Considering all the risks
Outstanding segment. shocking, scary and sobering❤ thank you for the content and awareness❤
Did it help the migraines?
A good injector leaves you with movement.
@@sunshine3914 its helping so far yeah. i'm gonna ask to skip the eyebrow injections next time and just do the 28 scalp ones.
Thank you for telling us your honest experience
@@rin-eri I get them to do it in the hairline and near the ears, from a pain clinic, mine come from jaw clenching, and that nerve can give you migraines, just a thought it may be the same for you. It's so much money.
Treat your kids right so they won’t try to buy a quick fix as a result of lack of self-worth!
Narrowly avoided an argument today about preventative treatments after my nieces getting some quite mature make up products for Christmas.
You said Exactly what I was thinking! At six years old I figured out that beauty pagents are pure evil.
I'm Aussie and we're starting to get it bad here too
This is a great analysis. I am a fan of both of you and I really like your commentary/responses because you’re very respectful and if you disagree with anything, you explain it in a logical way :) keep up the amazing work!
This is that one time that I WISH I was being lied to... Little girls with botox 😢😢😢
Pagents for children are SICK!!!! Just think of poor little JonBenet Ramsey!
Dr. Linkov,
We knew a child in the 1980’s who contracted botulism from improperly canned vegetables.
Dear Doctor Gary, I am so glad to see and hear your humanity! Merry Christmas and thank you for the biology lessons and your soothing voice!
Botox - Notox! I will keep my wrinkles, thank you
My aunt was part of the study of botox as a treatment for dystonia. They lady with the bad reaction looked like she had dystonia
So done with the cosmetic industry
I feel cosmetic us of Ozempic is in the same league of wrongness
Can CPS do an evaluation on that pageant mom and her child?
How about you just accept your aging?
I love how straight talking Stephanie Lange is. 15:45 I have TMJ but never had botox, as yet. It's the pterygoids that you need to release with massage for TMJ. The idea of injecting into masseters seems redundant to me. As soon as the pterygoids are released the masseters stop overfiring.
I have an appointment for filler and botox and now I'm terrified...
You'll do fine.
I know you did not ask for advice, but mine would be to not mess with your face. Being fit and stylish is way more attractive than looking frozen 💖
Wrinkles can be beautiful and give us character! I love my crows feet and my chicken pox scars. I once heard its a sign of being a genius 🤣
In the era of fat grafting, people still choose fillers? Why? Price?
What’s wrong with accepting that you grow old! And we will all die eventually! It’s the only “equal opportunity” factor! 😊
What’s wrong with doing procedures tastefully? Nothing. To each their own (and how they wish to age). No shame in it.
Nothing is wrong with it but some people just don’t want to.
Just because you grow old doesn't mean you need to let your appearance become worse
Woe havent seen Kendall in awhile 😮 she looks 35
I feel like migraines have a big effect on quality if like whereas Botox from nurses is low risk and I’ve heard from people it’s helped them!
Gary and Stephanie in one video about botox procedures is like a match made in heaven🎉
I just turned 30 and I definetly have dynamic wrinkles and I couldn't imagine if I would have tried botox in my early twenties because I am perfectly okay with what my "wrinkles" look like now.
Try To use cream
And stay at Home in the summer
You too young for botox
@queenciara12 oh I wouldn’t get it! I was just saying I couldn’t imagine if I would have started Botox at a younger age and not been able to see myself naturally age and realize I was fine.
I have a really solid skincare routine with sunscreen daily :)
@@janESA1812are your dymamic wrinkles bigger now than when u were 20 ?
@ not enough to ever think I would have needed Botox in my early twenties. To each their own though.
I always love you and Stephanie coming together to speak the truth! She’s such a great content creator and I love when you guys bounce opinions off of eachother and double down on the real deal when it comes to the good, the bad, and the unfortunately ugly/scary side of plastic surgery/injections/fillers/Botox..
Merry Christmas, thanks for educating so many :)
I think at some point in the future we might look back on botox, the way we look back now on using belladonna In your eyes or putting lead on your face
I dunno it's been around for a really long time. I remember getting it in my mid-twenties before a photo shoot. Now I get it regularly at 43.
Were you drinking lots of alcohol and partying frequently? It's mostly those types who look rough at a young age lol. It's all superficial when you're rotting inside 😂@@crazycatlady8285
How sad. Poor kid.
Botox user for about 5 years but for migraines. I'm now at every 8 weeks since it wears off so quickly. My neurologist injects me and even then I've had ptosis once. It's amazing for helping with migraines but it's always a concern for longer term use. Love the video and channel. Thanks!
It is pretty good for headaches and migraine. I use it for jaw clenching too, but it's not as good as I was hoping for. It's so expensive too.
32:35 “but he doesn’t anymore heh heh haAH, not after that botox 😏” I loved that from Dr. Linkov 😂
I really hope you get invited to Dr Mike's podcast one day
Thank you for this video. Perfect timing as I couldn't afford botox or my favorite jeuveau this time around. I think I'll take a break for awhile.
I always think of that Quincy episode: "Botulism!"
Absolutely child abuse
Thanks Dr Gary for sharing your insights
A KID GETTING BOTOX?! WHAT?!!!!! I've had botox twice. I'm nearly 38, and I'm happy without it. It helps my migraines, yes, but I'd rather not get it all the time. Thank you for speaking about this.
Botox in the maseters also helps with bruxism
I chickened out from having it in my masseter. I have bad bruxism but the fear of having an allergic reaction to botox was too strong.
Why would you ask why people don't have children? It's none of your business.
You’re assuming a cause for her medical condition? It’s genetic.
There's so many things wrong with what you just said.
Hair relaxers have nothing to do with fibroids.
I’m pro cosmetic procedures but you can still look older with wrinkles and lines, that’s what’s frustrating.
Sweet Lord
Agree
if this happens it's because the father doesn't care either, let's not put all the blame on only one parent when they're both to blame
Ha ha ha got a juviderm ad during this video 🤣🤣
I'm not saying they should do it, but the reason some people do their own tox (from South Korea) is because it's so expensive to get it done. There's lots of diy tox videos out there walking people through how to do it. 🤷♀️
Dr. You shouldn't put toxic material in ANYONE.
It's a lesson in what your children are observing you saying about yourself and doing to yourself. Show them ageing is nothing to worry about. Do not criticise aspects about yourself and start doing uncoventional treatments on yourself in view of them. Irresponsible parent!
The mom having her 8 year old botoxed…. I can’t believe this. Meanwhile, the mom should worry about herself and overhaul her diet and exercise.
Insulting the mothers looks when discussing the dangers of beauty standard is really reductive.
@@missbeaussieHer looks were not mentioned
@@BradB-o3h let's not pretend the OP didn't referenced to her appearance to make comment about "her diet"
@@tr4sh.doll_ Obviously. That doesn't mean they mentioned them though and they certainly didn't insult them. End of discussion
People lose the ability to see the difference between facial expressions and wrinkles
Do you have botox doctor? Very curious!
In Italy we would say “la madre è da ricoverare…” as saying “put the mother straight in asylum”
