People just go way too overboard with the volume of filler they are agreeing to have in their faces in the first place. I get ONE syringe in my lips, once or twice a year. It's a nice subtle and cute enhancement that I enjoy getting from time to time and I like how my smile looks with it. And when I tell people they always go, "What!? I had no idea, your lips look great!" People have this idea that cosmetic procedures have to be EXTREME, it has to be a BIG noticeable change and it's NOT true!! Subtle enhancements are going to make you happier than something that completely changes your appearance
@@Tatiana_j_ A lot more everyday people are getting these cosmetic procedures than people realize. You just only notice the ones that are very obvious and overdone.
Got HA filler over a year ago, never again. Dissolver really ruins your own collagen. I went through mental episodes over it. Didn’t recognize myself. Please don’t believe your injector who lies to you & say it won’t mess with it. I had 2 scupltra treatments this year to help my face the damage from filler dissolver. Looks much better !! Still left a very hallow area that’s very noticeable when I smile. I will be trying scupltra again in that same area

I started going to a dermatologist to treat acne, during my last session, he told me my face doesn't have volume that I need some fillers, I was so shocked as I'm 26 and never thought that my face needed any changes except for acne problems, I trusted him and recommended him to all my friends as he treated my acne really well. it's sad that I need advice from you on youtube because I don't trust doctors anymore, another dr I went for a laser session she injected my undereyes with "stem cells" I had no clue what's that and she only told me after I pressured her after she injected it!! I didn't consent to any injections, I was so scared .. my undereye is naturally a bit hollow and I had no problem with it, the injection made my undereye full for a week and I didn't look like myself at all I hated it so much.. the dr said I look much better.. ! of course he will tell you that you dont have volume, guess who charge a lot of money to inject fillers in your face? dont trust this dr, same happened to me and my face looks ok.. the reality is that you can stimulate collagen with microneedling and retinol(if you dont mind the side effects that are making you permanently more sensitive to the sun and rising liver enzymes) other than that acne scars are pretty much permanent and the best treatments to "hide" it are fillers which is something im not willing to do because it comes with all those side effects and is not permanent, i do microneedling sessions every 3 months to improve collagen, i lift heavy weights(most underrated skin "treatment") and that helps a lot with skin quality, sauna here and there and thats all.. i chose not to use retinol because im in the sun a lot and i care about my liver.

It makes sense that fillers expand the skin. Even after the filler is dissolved, the skin will remain somewhat stretched. Also scar tissue developing should be expected after adding foreign materials in the sustem. Believe some people start to young having fillers and other procedures and actually cause aging earlier than normal.
Can you do a video on how to actually FIX the damage caused by fillers (ie tissue expansion)? I always hear about how scary it is, which just leaves those who got filled and then dissolved feeling terrified and hopeless. Love, a 20-something-yr-old filler patient. 😟

I had fillers two months ago and love it. 🐭 I always tell my injectors that I consider natural routes like PRF, sculptra, and a bit of filler and that my focus is not to get a puffy face. 🐭
Thank you for this information, there is not enough of these kind of information out there and so people can't make the right choices for themselves. This is just what I needed to hear ♥
I got botched fillers in 2020 from a nurse. Even after having them dissolved, there are still lumps that never dissolved which I believe are scar tissue. My lips, after dissolving, also never want back to their natural state. Unless I go a surgical route there is no way for me to get rid of these lumps. I am very fortunate that these lumps are not too noticeable. I can feel them with my tongue (the filler was injected beyond the wet border) If I could turn back time I would have waited until more research was done on fillers (such as is available now) and gone to a doctor in the first place. I do still get filler, but sparingly (once every 1-2 years) from a GP, and I only get 0.5ml. I don’t think I would get filler in any part of my body other than my lips knowing what we know about filler now.
I say I get filler every 1-2 years, but I think I am also going to stop that as well. I don’t plan on getting my filler dissolved again knowing the horror stories I’ve heard about dissolving; even if these stories are fear mongering, I would still rather be safe than sorry until concrete research is available. While dissolving my lips initially had no complications, I’d rather not take my chances a second time.
in 2018 I got filler under my eyes... it's STILL there!!! 😭 I really need to get it dissolved but I'm afraid it will leave me deformed now.... I'm so scared!!!!
@@Anonymous_starrrr It does not look terrible, but I was overfilled on the left side in comparison to my right side. My skintone is very light and the filler makes that one under eye look more blue than the other under eye, I am also more puffy faced on the left side of my face which I think may be caused by the filler. I’m just too poor to get it dissolved or checked out 🥲🤣 I bought the filler with my tax return in 2018 lmao !
Doctor, can you please do an analysis on Mindy Kaling?? Please show an ethnic woman and she looks amazing. Not sure if she got a facelift, Botox or nose job but she was on Stephen Colbert and looks amazing and very different but still herself if that makes sense. Please!
Lorry hill had a video about her I think she had nose job maybe botox For thé fzcelift i think she dont have one She look young but she IS young she have 40 years
I had lip filler and the doctor convinced me to get my nasal labial folds filled as well. I did it once with 1 ml each, 3,5 years ago. I genuinely thought this was low risk and will dissolve within 6 months. My face is permanently changed. While I do love the look of bigger lips, I look back at pictures before and I regret it so much. My face looked fresher and more youthful. Although it’s very subtle I see that „cat lady“ over filled migration look around my mouth and I hate it. I think about dissolving it but I’m scared of it becoming worse… I think I should just accept it and leave it before making things worse :(
I did my major research paper in ENG 102 on liposuction. I did sooooo much excellent research, even interviewed my plastic surgeon. I went into it with my eyes wide open & mind informed. Why aren't more people doing their research before they start using fillers? Thanks to you & Lorry Hill (& my abject fear of needles), I will never go the injections route. I will just contine my at-home chemical peels & learn to accept my jowls.🤭
What I see here is the addiction and use of this stuff by those who don't have the talent or confidence to achieve on their own, hence they go to these extremes. B-list 'celebrities'. Thanks so much, Dr. Linkov!
I have loved filler since 2000!! ♥️ i LOVED collagen, but docs stopped injecting that in abt 2003. Now now that I’m in my mid-40’s, I just use biostimulators and microneedling.
I dont want to sound rude but i think fillers age people really fast and the more fillers the worse it looks. Fillers are no permanent solution and damage the whole look.. im more into preventing damages which starts with food and what we consume .. to avoid highly processed foods/drinks,avoiding sugar, too much sun etc.
When I started doing fillers in 2018/2019 these complications weren’t really talked about. Even medical professionals who performed these injections didn’t mention them as side effects. If it was because they didn’t know themselves or simply didn’t want to scare people away from getting filler I don’t know. All I know is fillers have been made to be something trivial and without side effects which they are not. I just wish I knew all this before getting filler and then having it all dissolved. Now my face will never look the same and I will never know how I would have looked like or how I would’ve aged if I never got filler in the first place
I had lip filler a year ago. I'm late 50s so allegedly responsible. The plumping reduced a bit after a month but the result is still there. I dont need more . I love it. I was advised to keep topping it up but after a year its still there. I was told its temporay but happily its still going strong x
The moment procedures involves injections as botox or fillers, it doesn't please the skin at all. Just the fact of adding a fluid under the skin to make volume doesn't even sound like a good idea. Like he said, it does cause stretching to the skin so naturally overtime the skin is getting damaged. I am 32 and never had any cosmetic procedures but I am thinking of thermage, a non invasive treatment and no needle needed.
I had minimal fillers.. twice... cheeks and chin. The second time it was injected by a dr who I should never have gone to. he showed me the syringes so I know it was real product and it was a legitimate clinic and he was a doctor... yet the bruising I had in my chin was so bad, and it hurt so badly the skin turned black! It was horrific. Anyway it looks fine and I was complimented after six weeks of recovering. And this was 4 years ago.. it's still there... never ever again.
I appreciate how straight forward and informational your videos are but I miss how you used to be a little more candid. I liked seeing your personality :)
Kylie simply had a facelift after deflating her face and dissolving all the fillers. Plus she had a number of different surgeries. She will never look like herself again. All these celebrities who people say look so good and like their old versions actually look unnatural. You can tell there's something wrong with their looks. You can only imagine the amount of money, pain, time and corrections these surgeries take.
There was a time when kylie should have stopped the filler. Her lips were perfectly done. Then she added more and more and they looked deformed. You saw it when she smiled- the lumps. Ngl I loved that one time it looked perfect. It looked plump and natural. She had definition on her lip border.
Seeing all the plastic women in Hollywood and elsewhere have helped me to appreciate natural beauty in myself and others. And yes the recent changes to Lindsay Lohan are making her glow and make her look seemingly happier, but how lasting is that? The dr is right. Regardless of facial work (or any artificial or temporary remedies), our bodies will always age. If not the face it'll be something else. Much wiser and healthier to take care of oneself with balanced healthy diet, sleep, exercise and stress management, and age naturally than ultimately become the victim of artificial facial or body make-over, whether physically or emotionally.
How far are we from regeneration of our own fat pad, to avoid grafting fat that doesn't act the way facial fat does, leading to pillow face? I'm waiting for that day before doing anything volume wise
another way the celebrities are lying. first they lied about getting fillers and botox. now they want us to think they dissolved all their filler and stopped getting botox (and somehow still look better than they did before they ever started). like blayc chyna for example. sure she dissolved some of her cheek filler but trust she still has some in her face. Her cheek bones were not that high and her jaw was not that snatched. she definitely still has filler, just not an absurd amount like she used to.
It depends on type of fillers and overdoing it. Little fillers now and then dont harm. Have been doing them for years and i just look natural and fine. 😂 Oh also, I dont want to go back to original face of mine - gaunt and thats the reason why I got the fillers in first place.
Is there anything you can use to give your lips some volume and shape without the fillers used , like fat transfer or something? I have no lips. It seriously gives me a sunken in look and I hate it and I do get some filler in my lips. Just a little. Like a half a syringe or less. Once or twice a year. My lips look good. What can we do that is more Natural?
Me too , I never had lips. Now that I have aged (57) they are thinner. When I was younger it didn’t bother me I loved lip products but now they don’t look good very thin. My daughter just got a half syringe of filler and it looks great . 2 years ago she got a full syringe and it lasted so long.
I only got 0.5 syringe in both cheekbones 4 years ago and at the time I thought even that small amount was overkill. Granted I am a male so maybe it's different and the effect is more pronounced because my cheeks were not that strong before hand but I thought just after when there was initial swelling I looked too soft and feminine but thankfully it died down and looked amazing after 2 weeks. I can't imagine getting several syringes in my face the stuff is so powerful. It's only 4 years later at age 31 that I have gotten some more. 0.25 for each medial cheekbone and about 2.5 for each tear trough combined with some PRP this time.
I have absolutely nothing against any surgical or dermatological procedure. Do what you want and be happy. However, when it comes to lips, I think it's an extremely delicate and complicated area because the chances of looking artificial are immense. Those big lips-sorry to those who like them-but they are horrible. It looks like you got stung by a swarm of bees. It's very, very unattractive. If you naturally have big lips, that's fine. If not, at most, add a little filler to enhance the cupid's bow or something like that. Don't try to create three or four times the natural lip volume. It looks awful.
Hello doctor 👋. What about fillers for a more masculine chin, Do chin fillers move as well? Do they clog the lymphatic system as well? I've saved a lot of money in years, and now I'm very scared
Good morning doctor, I am 30 years old and due to weight loss (currently BMI 22, before it was 30) and aging, my under eye area is very sunken / hollow and always dark. People always ask me if I am tired or sick and it is breaking my confidence. I already follow skincare since my early 20s and always use sun protection, I checked my iron level, vitamins and hormones and everything is fine so it is just an aesthetical problem I can not improve with some supplements. Shall I do under eye / tear through hyaluronic acid filler to improve it even if it does never fully dissolve? I feel like in my case the reward would be more than the risk.
Doc, does PRF or PRP as injectables cause the stretching of skin? I am considering getting them for my under eye dark circles, but I don't want to make the hollowness worse as an aftereffect.
Oh, come on. These stuff is really freaking me out. I just got filler in my 11s nasal bridge, and forehead. I really don't like it, it seems to make my eyes appear smaller, and closed in. Also have had headaches since, plus my eyes just don't feel normal....😢 Will the filler ever just go away on its own? If i new this information before i would of never ever had it done!!! 💯. I thought i could maybe just get it dissolved, i don't want to dissolve my natural tissue with it. I was injected with juvederm that eas Cross likinked. I really hope it just goes away naturally, that was what i was told. I really would like to hear your thoughts.
I love your explanations. Hyaluronic acid actually does expand with water and migrates to lymph nodes etc. Meghan Fox looked natural at the beginning, now she looks like a doll. It scares me. These changes will do permanent damage of one kind or another. Simon Cowell. OMG. Too far? You think? Goodness.
I don’t have any filler or Botox but I always wondered what happens to your face when you are using Botox for long time like since in your 20s until 40 and then you stop. Does your face look badly wrinkles ? I don’t understand why these young girls are getting Botox?
This has convinced me to just stick to chemical peels and laser treatments with good skin care for my skin care journey. To each their own on what they wanna pursue in terms of cosmetic treatments. But for me, I’m gonna age no matter what, but I want to not risk not looking like me.

Doctor, can you please do an analysis on Mindy Kaling?? Please show an ethnic woman and she looks amazing. Not sure if she got a facelift, Botox or nose job but she was on Stephen Colbert and looks amazing and very different but still herself if that makes sense. Please!
Lorry hill had a video about her
I think she had nose job maybe botox
For thé fzcelift i think she dont have one
She look young but she IS young she have 40 years
I had lip filler and the doctor convinced me to get my nasal labial folds filled as well.
Thanks so much for the warnings about filler. I have had so many spa people try and convince me to get it. Nope. Never
What I see here is the addiction and use of this stuff by those who don't have the talent or confidence to achieve on their own, hence they go to these extremes. B-list 'celebrities'. Thanks so much, Dr. Linkov!
my nosefiller has lasted 6 yrs and my chinfiller has lasted 7 yrs
Can you do a before and after of Kimberly Guilfoyle?
I want to see that too!
I have loved filler since 2000!! ♥️ i LOVED collagen, but docs stopped injecting that in abt 2003. Now now that I’m in my mid-40’s, I just use biostimulators and microneedling.
Wow this information helps so much for anyone who is thinking about this
It's not bad baahby, its bad Baybee 😭
Thank you
If fillers have side effects, imagine what eye colour surgery like keratopigmentaion side effects will be in the long term. 😢😢
Great Video Doc. What's your take on buccal fat removal?
Thanks! Have a few videos on that.
I had lip filler a year ago. I'm late 50s so allegedly responsible. The plumping reduced a bit after a month but the result is still there. I dont need more . I love it. I was advised to keep topping it up but after a year its still there. I was told its temporay but happily its still going strong x
Again a very good video with a lot of explanations!
Thanks you very much.
Fascinating!!!
Please do a video on Lindsay Lohan’s transformation because she looks fantastic! 😍
This video was so helpful thank you!
What's the alternative to fillers then?
U have to cover Brandi Granville . Her face is unbelievable
I appreciate how straight forward and informational your videos are but I miss how you used to be a little more candid. I liked seeing your personality :)
The only injections i have are done on my chin it's such a life changer. I do it twice a year to have more projection and I'm overly satisfied 🎉
I’m going to use sunscreen, tretinoin, Botox and PRF. Minoxidil for my hair. I want to dissolve my lip filler but I’m scared of the effects.
❤❤❤EXCELLENT EDUCATOR❤❤❤
Really curious if this is what happened to Brandi Glanville instead of her explanation of a moving parasite.
I had nose filler over 5 years ago for a little bump I had on my nose. Though was suppose to be temporary, it has never dissolved.
They also lost weight by hiking. 🙄
Can you say Ozempic?
@@KDTif don't forget horse back riding!lol
That doesn't look like Kylie post filler. Maybe some is still there, or she got a lip lift. Her original upper lip is super thin.
Please do a video about tretinoin
John Mulaney’s new face!!! Please do John Mulaney’s new faaaace
Has our Dr Gary got a cold? Are you getting enough sleep, Dr Gary?!
I did not know who Lisa Rinna was but in the thumbnail I thought she was Kylie Jenner with short hair...
It depends on type of fillers and overdoing it. Little fillers now and then dont harm. Have been doing them for years and i just look natural and fine. 😂 Oh also, I dont want to go back to original face of mine - gaunt and thats the reason why I got the fillers in first place.
Me too!!!
DUDE, UR A DR - THESE PEOPLE HAVE HAD WAAY MORE THAN LIP FILLERS 🤦♀️
Do you ship to the uk for your feel confident products? X
LOVE U GARY
Does the formation of scar tissue also happen with prp injections?
Yes,they are. When I lost some weight and my face became thinner, all the places where I have fillers became obvious
What about fillers for a more masculine chin,
Do chin fillers move as well?
Do they clog the lymphatic system as well?
I've saved a lot of money in years, and now I'm very scared
do a comparison of fat transfer and fillers
Dr G is the shizz 🎉
Use a good makeup concealer and powder.
In addition to HA fillers, is it better to insert your own fat?
What age do you stop fillers? What’s best for laugh lines-cheek filer or the actual lines? TIA
Interesting
Doc, does PRF or PRP as injectables cause the stretching of skin? I am considering getting them for my under eye dark circles, but I don't want to make the hollowness worse as an aftereffect.
I have a question about a scar tissue: is there (needle mesotherapy) the same side effect as i'm The fillers?
in the fillers
What do you think about injections that are supposed to help stimulate collagen production, like ultracol and nucleofill?
What about Restylane fillers in the lips? It is hylaronic acid. Can it stop the lympatic system as well?
Oh, come on. These stuff is really freaking me out. I just got filler in my 11s nasal bridge, and forehead. I really don't like it, it seems to make my eyes appear smaller, and closed in. Also have had headaches since, plus my eyes just don't feel normal....😢
Will the filler ever just go away on its own?
If i new this information before i would of never ever had it done!!! 💯.
I thought i could maybe just get it dissolved, i don't want to dissolve my natural tissue with it.
I was injected with juvederm that eas Cross likinked.
I really hope it just goes away naturally, that was what i was told.
I really would like to hear your thoughts.
wow excellent video.
I love your explanations. Hyaluronic acid actually does expand with water and migrates to lymph nodes etc. Meghan Fox looked natural at the beginning, now she looks like a doll. It scares me. These changes will do permanent damage of one kind or another. Simon Cowell. OMG. Too far? You think? Goodness.
Hmmm I wonder if you’ve made a video about Brandi Granville yet… 😢
I know so many women with totally destroyed faces after dissolving fillers. Putting more than 4-5 ml. is total disaster.
I don’t have any filler or Botox but I always wondered what happens to your face when you are using Botox for long time like since in your 20s until 40 and then you stop. Does your face look badly wrinkles ? I
don’t understand why these young girls are getting Botox?
It's being sold to them.
Seems like these filler companies aren't doing enough research before launching these products and are harming their users as a result.
