There is enough cancelled David Fincher and Guillermo del Toro movies to make a full hour long video on. Great video really well done so far as always.
I’ve never heard of this film or it’s source material but NOW I want this film to get made more than anything! Back then when I first heard that Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, I thought it was great. Years later, today, my eyes are wide open and I see the harm that it did to a lot of projects like The Goon.
Yeah the marvel fan in me is happy but at the cost of so much good and interesting stuff. I will forever be curious about what that mega man movie would have been like.
I love the Goon but honestly I think it would be better as a series rather then a movie. It has a ton of good stories and arch’s that shouldn’t be skipped over.

Always felt 'The Goon' would make for a better triple-A story-driven action-adventure co-op video game than a movie. Think a two-player, 3rd person brawler, w/Blur Studios providing quality animated cinematics to tell the story. With today's 3D graphic engines, you could have cg-quality graphics that transition into gameplay. You could still tell a compelling story in a video game - just look at stuff like Uncharted & Last of Us, just to name two. I just feel like Miller is pushing The Goon too hard into the wrong medium. Once The Goon game is a proven success, you'll have movie studios fighting to make a CGi movie.
@@mrabtruse - Or not even a feature length movie. Just a short. That way it could serve as a "proof of concept" for a Goon multiplatform game running on Unreal Engine 5.

While I was watching those interviews I kept thinking "10 years too early". Hopefully this project can get more interest in today's streaming service market. This passion project sounds ripe for a 12 ep. adult animation series on Netflix, Amazon, or Apple. I hope it gets its time. I wasn't aware how desperately long the animation industry has been itching to make more mature content for mature audiences. Ugh. Shame.
The connection of the creators to "love, death and robots" may come in handy. If they are really dedicated to the project, they should ask one of the animation studios to make a story on the goon, or at least the goon universe. Maybe this will get some positive reactions from reviewers and fans to encourage Netflix to invest in it (they had so many attempts at original series and movies, this will totally be up their alley). Let us just hope that because it was first brought to fox, Disney won't suddenly wake up and try to claim IP on it or something
