With how many unmarked quests that will stop if you mess up starts to add up making sense to those “200” endings fallout 3 has cause so many options of side quests and unmarked ones with different outcomes
Head canon for the Roach King/Queen: After the Roaches or they scavenge certain objects (Mini Nukes), they strap the nukes to the Roaches, linked to a remote detonator, and used them as trojan horses against other large settlements or groups who threaten them.
You thankfully, kill them, before enough Nukes have been collected by them.
Edit: Don't forget how tenacious Roaches are, they're able to infiltrate the "impenetrable" Vaults and sneak into safe havens unchecked.

Just to clarify 2:53:00 ish, you mention that the revolver has a "clip size of 6". Revolvers have neither Clips nor Magazines (which are very different things), they have cylinders. A "Clip" refers to a "stripper clip" which is almost never used anymore and is mechanism for loading older WWII/Korean war era rifles (mostly). A magazine is a rectangular device that you load ammunition into, and then insert into a gun so that it may cycle through the ammunition in automatic and semi-automatic rifles and pistols. The "Cylinder" is the round spinning thing that holds ammunition on a Revolver. A cylinder, found on only on "revolvers" such as the one you are talking about, spins to advance the next bullet cartridge (or round) into place after firing the previous shot. And, now you know. 😉

It's gonna sound weird but the fact you said about Ian in Fallout 1 with their miss use of the 10 mm SMG made me remember of one of the starting perks of Fallout New Vegas were you can shoot faster but have a lot less accuracy and the vault guy is holding a 10 mm smg with only one hand, maybe it haves something to do with him? Lol
