I'm not a comic book person but I've always wanted to read Alan Moore. When I read about this book releasing I put near the top of my TBR and figured this would be my first Moore book. Instead, recently while playing a game and having a youtube video about v for vendetta (the movie) on the background, the guy kept comparing it to the comic and I got a this urge to read it and ordered the deluxe edition. Which will now be my first Moore book/comic lol
This feels easy to confess given his recent books. But I do honestly feel, Alan's more recent work over the last 10-20 years is much more interesting than his previous DC stuff. I'll admit to always being a little intimidated by his writing, but I am currently halfway through "The Great When" and it's the most fun I've had reading in a long time. Jerusalem is huge obviously and I am on my second read through just finishing the "Burrows" this week. Always an interesting interview to listen to when he speaks. Ok enough gushing 😅

The Spare painting that Alan's mentioned is often called The Vampires Are Coming. The Face of Pan is a fine alternate title, though!
Thank you for that info
