The indigenous tribe Métis is pronounced may-tea, not ma-tiss
Give him a break, I can't pronounce all kinds of British words/names and neither can you.
I wasn’t criticizing any one just giving some helpful input because the way he said it bugged me. Also, try me. I’m pretty good with words
Well in french, its m-æ-t-i-s...
This is literally a disgrace because im mètis
I know right it was funny.

America: GUNS
Canada: sorry
Thanos: perfectly balanced as all things should be
ProudEnder Lol why? There’s more to America than guns. I barely know anyone who owns one.
America: Bow to us!!
Canadians: We kicked your ass a 200 yrs ago. We walked away!
Thanos: The balance has been restored!
He said Justin Trudeau is the first prime minister BORN IN OTTAWA
Eleanor Murray 91 (STUDENT) That’s understandable
Eleanor Murray 91 (STUDENT) I wrote that comment a while ago lol. Things got even crazier here now
Canadians really do love Celine Dion and Shania Twain... It's kind of insane.
Pineapple and Pepperoni on a pizza are amazing. I mean not all the time, pepperoni and jalapenos is my favorite, but I'll never say no to a pineapple pizza.
He refers to coins quite a bit. Um.. he should look at a ten cent piece and maybe get the thing about Blue nose.
AND I never heard a Canadian say aboot.
For aboot, me neither. But I'm from Quebec, so I hear English a lot less than people from the other provinces
english speaking Canadians only say aboot as a joke not when we are actually talking even out in the maritimes
or the fact he ignores hockey. Has a fact about Justin Bieber instead of the Tragically Hip and how many times he fucked up names
I have never seen milk in a bag too only the east coast does it

MachYT the sad part is that I’m Canadian and and I know how many times I say “eh”
I’m Canadian and I say eh
I said. Eh 3 times just today
They aren't wrong.. Mostly..
I hate Canadian stereotypes but the eh one is true.
The way he pronounced “Okanagan” killed me😭😂
Fact #16:
It is pronounced, “may-tee”, not “meh-tiss”. There should also be an accent on the E (Métis). The accent makes the e sound like a long “A” sound.
No I speak french fluently, and ''é'' is pronounced ''ei'' it's a weird pronunciation.
In QC we pronounce it as he said.. meh - tiss
@@andrewrichter4806 nope like eh
ikr it buggs me so much
Nova Scotians are referred to as "bluenosers" because of the Bluenose II,
a fishing schooner that was once the fastest schooner in the world, winning
many trophies. As you can guess...the Bluenose was built in Halifax, Nova
Scotia. It's also found on the front of our 10-cent piece.
Actually it's because of the first Bluenose, built in 1921 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. about 65 kilometers south west of Halifax. But you were close..
And the blue nose was her name and she won herself a place in the history of Canada. That’s the blue nose song
Dude, I love your profile pic

WHO THE HELL SAYS A BOOT I LIVE HERE ANS NOBODY SAYS FREAKING A BOOT ITS ABOUT
It’s also a lot more common in the maretimes I live in a small town in Ontario and never heard it

Abigail Nywening yesss thank you most people don’t say that
Don’t forget about the Miq’maq in Newfoundland, they live in a town called Conne river in Newfoundland’s south coast, also the Beothuk who all died off in 1829

Alert being -40 in the winter is nothing, really. The vast majority of large Canadian cities receive -40 temperatures during the winter.
osriodore Ya even happened in Toronto
Dave Hauthorn Buddy we mean it occasionally hits -40. And ya we know about our country, idk why you’re comin’ in with unnecessary facts.
I like how it said -40 C/F. There is a significant difference between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
@Dave Hauthorn Most of Alberta gets -40 in the winter, without the windchill it's around -30. Though the average is around -20 or so, probably a bit less. This winter we had more than a week of extreme cold, -40 almost every night.
@@bethw7617 -40 is approximately the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit.
I am born and raised Canadian and love it here. Thank you for your awesome video on this great country.
you love it? I'm canadian and our country is so corrupt its a awful country now
@@DumBlond16 you are very right, it's our government that's what they have been allowed to get away with. Hasn't always been that way that's speaking past tense.

"Who puts fruits on pizza?"

You are big gay if you put tomato on pizza

Fun fact pineapple is a vegetable
does that include the tomato sauce which is a fruit?
It's pronounced May-tee, not Met-is.
edit before people scream and yell at me: I am Metis.
Most Métis communities around Quebec normally go with the French pronounciation of "Me-tis". Would you, per chance, descend from Anglo-Métis?
Quebec doesn't count becuase it's the Texas of Canada, and yes, I do
Omg thank yu that was driving me crazy lol
... I mean in french it's really pronounced ''me-tis''... You shouldn't generalize the people from Quebec I for instance is a Metis who's first language is French and i don't think we should become a country. Ya we exist....
Exactly only people in Quebec pronounce it that way but the Acadians who came up with the name who also spoke French, Acadian french at that pronounced it may-tee . Sadly Acadian French is mostly only spoke in Nova Scotia where I live
I’m from Canada and I’m so annoyed by how he said Nunavut and metis also Canada doesn’t have a president we have a prime minister
Ava Ross if u r single let me know

SleepyGuyy LOL
As an American, I suprisingly know he is a "Prime Minister"
SleepyGuyy Prime minister!

Tons of hate from us Canadians in the comments section, but it’s okay! I’m impressed by how much you know and I really don’t care that you pronounced Metis wrong. You have an accent! Lots of love from Canada ♥️♥️♥️
I can't understand why everyone is mad that someone from another country can't pronounce every name/word correctly. None of us could do the same with any other country.
@3 kings You are clearly misinformed. Canada does not rely on the US for everything, in fact when it comes to the most essential things the roles are reversed. Oil, medical isotopes, steel, nickle, potash for fertilizer etc. And lets not forget the the thing that will be the most valuable in the future, fresh water. I take it you are not from Canada or the US? The majority of the world would disagree, but you are entitled to you're opinion. I love our neighbors, much of my extended family lives there. A good portion of my family down there are black however, ask them where they are treated better throughout either country.
Rabbit the thing that botherd me most was the way he pronounced Nunavut im canadien twoo btw
Rabbit Really cause I’m from Canada and the way he pronounces Métis and everything relating to Nunavut make me wanna kill my self
Most of us don't even say a boot (about)

Nova Scotians being called Blue-nosers is actually commemorating Canada's race winning sailboat, The Bluenose, which was built in Nova Scotia.
Which same sailboat is featured on our 10 cent coin, the dime.

Greetings from Lunenburg, N.S. I see the Bluenose down on the waterfront almost every day (unless it's somewhere else being Canada's Sailing Ambassador!) Come and visit; you won't be sorry!
@General YeahYeah where are youI from? The term isnt used often any lore but every nova scotian knows what a bluernoser is
its on the Canadian 10 cent coin.
I am a Canadian, I don't know a person here who plays lacrosse. I am 52. I have never met a lacrosse player, seen a game played or even know where to see a game if I wanted to. There are none televised. However there is all kinds of hockey and curling. I have seen plenty of hockey and curling rinks. I have seen plenty of golf courses, soccer and baseball fields, but I have never seen a lacrosse field. So I think it is time Canada ditch this lacrosse being our national sport claim.
Lacrosse was originally called field lacrosse because it was played in a large field. Now the game is played in hockey arenas across the country.
I died inside when he tried to pronounce okanagan lake as a local myself...
