Actually, from my experience, the youngest age to drive in the US is 14. You can get your permit at 14 in some states, others it's 15, and you get your license at 16.
It's 18 to buy rifles and shotguns, but 21 for handguns.

Is it weird that I actually GENUINELY love and respect EVERY country? Every country has such diverse cultures and variety of people, I find it fascinating and amazing. I’m American and I’m indifferent about the US. This is coming from someone who served in the Navy. I actually prefer other countries than my own at this point tbh.

Actually the US isn't subdivided into 50 states, the 50 states come together to form the US and authorize its government. Why they still do is incomprehensible. Also, to purchase a long gun (rifle) a person must be 18 however, to purchase a handgun a person must be 21.
