I've been using Dr.V's Marine Collagen for over 3 months. My hair is growing back on my bilateral temples from pulling my hair back in a ponytail. I have 4C Low porosity hair. And my nails r growing faster and r stronger. And I'm not having as much bone aches from working out etc. The information Dr.V is providing is sooooo invaluable. I am very grateful. Bless u, Dr. V and team.

Hi Dr. V - Thank you so much for this video! I know that you mentioned that Marine Collagen is much better for our system especially if it includes hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. I have been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides (bovine) since it also contains hyaluronic acid and vitamin c unlike it's marine one. Again, thank you for this incredible video and I will cannot wait for your book to come out. I'm going to pre-order now.

It’s worth mentioning that vitamin C and vitamin D if taken together are poisonous should be separated with 6 hours!!
Vitamin C preferably taken on empty stomach with the collagen while vitamin D taken with a meal

Personally I like a product called VITAL PROTEINS COLLAGEN PEPTIDES which comes in a pale blue plastic container and it helped me a lot when I had a severely punctured and torn meniscus but decided not to get the surgery and decided not to get the glucose injections because my doctor uses the kind with steroids and would not do it without the steroids which doesn't make sense since steroids eat away bone and cartilage .
I feel that is a good product and I hope you can get it in India .

@@vanitarattan you might want to also talk about how they can actually help the joints because when I was 60 years old I had a very severely torn and punctured meniscus but decided not to go for the surgery because the anesthesia can contribute to memory loss which I had in the past very bad and did not want to ever go through that again .
They offered me glucose injections for my knee but only had steroids in them and would not administer without the steroids so I decided on neither .
I did powdered collagen in the morning and again in the evening and occasionally did food grade edible bentonite clay .
Exactly a year and a week from when I got my injury when I was 61 years old I was able to run hard and fast with no problem on my knee .
People don't believe me and say you can't heal it because it's not vascular but big pharma doctors don't want the public to know this that we can .

Years ago when I would ingest Cod livers oil about 7 hours later my face would look absolutely radiant .
I think many of the companies here in America have become dishonest and are tampering with the Cod livers oil which used to be very inexpensive and now don't seem to be 100% the real thing and are much pricier .
I even bought a brand Carlson's which is pricey for me and did that for several months and saw no change with my skin .
I thought it was possible I'm having absorption problems since I'm older but was taking triphala powder and water about twice a week to help purify and heal the gut of glutens and toxins .
Do you have any suggestions what I as an older woman now 64 years old can eat or drink that will help rejuvenate my skin from within as for Years everybody was shocked to know my age and then it seems my skin became more dry in the past two years .
I take all natural things that help balance the hormones such as ashwagandha and Shatavari with some ghee .

Interesting video however I remain unconvinced about collagen. Like any food it is simply absorbed in the body and doesn't necessarily go as far as our skin. Our food is 'sent' to our vital organs first and foremost. Also having your own collagen product feels like your opinion is possibly biased on its merits.

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Making a paste out of neem powder is a very good way to get rid of the oily skin and get rid of blackheads but I don't know what is good for hyperpigmentation .
Usually eating a lot of vitamin C is good for making the skin even toned and if you buy a powder from the Indian Grocers called AMLA ( Indian gooseberry powder ) that has more vitamin C in it than anything on the planet except for Kakadu plum .
You can even go into the refrigerators at the Indian Grocers and buy a package of the Indian gooseberries but I don't like their flavor I just do the powder mix it in water drink it and get it over with and it also is good for getting rid of gray hair making it revert back to its original color

Curios about the codeage multi collagen peptide + powder. Would love for you to look into it! Also curious about its affects for hair. Could it help with hair loss and maybe getting the scalp skin healthy or something to promote getting that hair growth started or helping stop the loss? I’ve experienced telogen effluvium and lost lots of hair and also got some acne. Life events really attacked me for the first time ever. I think it’s just starting to maybe head the route to stopping but looking for anything to help with a little extra boost at all!
Rogaine amongst other things were no good for me and recently randomly decided to look into collagen

Thanks for all the information DR.V I just have a question which is bothering me for a long time and because of that I am not using retinoid (retin A 00.25%) Can I use vitamin C the next day after applying retinoid at previous night?? Will that be too much for my skin to bear? Please let me know as I don’t want to do any damage to my skin.

Your body will break down dietary protein and collagen to what it needs. You dont need to supplement- just eat healthy carbs, fats, proteins. The studies are interesting but are often small sample sizes and funded by parties with an interest. Evidence from one study is not enough, it is better to look at experts in nutrition- preferably that arent selling product

A few topics related to collagen: verisol collagen (more effective? more concentrated- another dermatologist mentioned 1 gram of one collagen powder does not equal 1 gram of another); bovine vs marine collagen (another derm recommended grass-fed bovine); if collagen can be taken sporadically with results (such as before a good night's sleep a few times a week in the case of someone who cannot get enough sleep every night); can collagen drink be effective without hyalorinic acid? (some powders dont contain hyaluronic acid); effects on hair?

Question is how much hyaluronic acid and vitamin C per serving? In vital proteins it's 600 mg of vitamin C but in another product it's only 10 mg. Please speak to that in any evidence-based research thanks
