Been taking collagen for over 2 years. Not only did it reverse aging but my pain is gone. Skin is bright and plump. Hair is extremely full and healthy. I take both bovine and marine - at least 4 servings a day and sometimes up to 6 servings a day with a serving of vitamin C once a day . Vitamin D + K2 plus I removed the sugar and most carbs from my life (pretty much carnivore). I haven’t felt this awesome in years. I’m almost 50 but I’m always approached by the 30 something men. 😂 Collagen is the truth.
DITTO!!!!! I'm 62 and ALWAYS told I look 40 with beautiful skin!!!! Collagen works for me too!!! Only been taking for about 2 years but it does make a difference!!😊❤
@@brownsuga810 I totally believe it! I look younger than my “friend” and he’s 41. 😂. He’s started to take it now because he can’t believe how “flexible” I am at 50. Ha!! It’s amazing how when I put my skin care on it stays naturally glowy. He doesn’t like for me to put on makeup. Loves my freckles and natural skin. I’ll compromise though, I love my makeup.
Good pot of bone broth once a week a cup or two a day. Grandma made and loved chicken soup always drank the broth and chewed the bones. She had great skin!
Careful with daily consumption of bone broth, because while it has many benefits, it does still have heavy metals (specifically bone broth, not regular chicken broth).
I tried so many collagen brands, too. The brand I like is Alani NU Self. It has hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. I get the unflavored one. Vitamin Shoppe sells it.
I started taking collagen powder this year when I realised tablets were rubbish. I noticed I have less sciatica flares ups and knee injury pain. Nails grow fast although mine are stil naturally brittle and break easily.
I have diligently taken marine collagen for a year now and it’s changed my hair texture. My hair is no longer fine, it’s more normal to coarse. Great video!
Thank you so much for this doctor! I noticed a fine line this year, and my eyes have a crease above my eye that I hate. I hope the collagen, healthy fats and exercise will help my skin return to its youthful plumpness 😭
I came across the use collagen to improve my skin by mistake while treating an ACL knee injury. I find coupling with liquid hyaluronic acid was a game changer for me.

I'm not trying to throw no shade but we all know black dont crack especially when we take good care of ourselves neither one of my grandmother's had any wrinkles & my grandmother on my mom side is 80 & she still looks good Praise GOD my mother is 63 & she has no wrinkles on her face & she doesn't take any collagen supplements now I do take collagen supplements I have no wrinkles & I take it because its helping with my hair plus it has made my skin so soft its also a easy way to get 10 grams of protein in my diet per serving & I eat a well balanced diet I feel like when it comes to aging we all have to eat right work-out & get plenty of rest & reduce the stress in our life hopefully no one gets upset with my comment I'm just keeping it real Shalom!!
@@gardenguster5271 yeah but black ppl don't age as badly as others do so how significant will the results be for us? Sunscreen is good for preventing cancer for instance but has no anti aging aspects for us.
Where do people get Black don't crack? I guess it's just my family and the ones around me, but they have aged horribly (jowls, nasolabial folds, forehead wrinkles, marionette lines, etc by 40s/50s). My mother's side of the family is Somali, so maybe that's why since Somali women tend to age horribly despite being Black. My mother did have a lot of stress, smokes, and drank a lot, but many who do these things still look good. I think this only really applies if you are of West or South African descent, including folks from the Caribbean and African-Americans since our ancestors typically hailed from the west coast.
Was on the fence about collagen and if it's worth taking. I'm convinced and think I'll try it since a dermatologist is reviewing a study on it. I'm far too lazy to read studies lol.
❤❤thanks doc for the Info. I’m currently taking the vital proteins powder but will also try the dose&co brand. Ive seen huge increase in my hair n nails!! Thanks 🙏. Pls keep us informed!! Love all ur contents

Many thanks again Dr. Alexis for the information you provide to us. I appreciate you very much. Thank you for recommending some products to use. I am overwhelmed by all the choices out there. I feel so lost among so many products. I am 61yrs old and my hair is so thin, and I have tried everything. I am hoping this collagen will help my hair along with skin plumping.
I strongly prefer the OBJECTIVE measures over the subjective measures. I like the MASI, and the parameters that measure the depth of the skin layers over the subjective: well, it SEEMS to FEEL softer and more moist. I THINK MAYBE there are fewer wrinkles...? No, objective measures are best.
Thanks Dr Alexis. I’ve been wondering if one should get onto this collagen trend. Now that you have given us the evidence based information, we can go ahead & try it. Thank you 🙏🏽 ❤ Ps. You look gorgeous, as always 😊
Hiiii, how do you feel about Dr. Vita Rattan's collagen boost? I'm trying to choose the right collagen for me. I had been using Vital Protein marine collagen but I found out it doesn't have any of the vitamins needed to support the collagen. PLEASE HELP!
So VERISOL is the key, not whether it comes from bovine/beef, chicken, or marine. For me, that means it comes down to what is cheapest. What is the cheapest form of verisol?
Hi Dr. Can I use my anti-aging with Thiamidol? Please let me know how to use it safely as I am on my 50s need active anti-aging also I have so much pigmentation as well. So excited to order the new one to try. Thank you in advance

Did you check the ingredients? That brand contains mostly fillers and is an endocrine blocker. 11g of collagen and 55 grams of salt. 😳 You need to look for 100% collagen - or whatever supplement you are seeking to take. The FDA does not regulate this. Always know your ingredients.
Hey, Dr. S i take the Besha inc. Collagen peptides verisol. I chose it because i researched it on consumer labs. It was shown not to have any lead or other contaminants. How does that stand up to these two products you mentioned?
