Hey man, you are really good and clear at explaining things. I was wondering if you ever noticed that apparently Slog3 has more problems with green screen than S-Cinetone? Because if you have anything overexposed with Slog3 it will show up as staggered high to low contrast areas after you cut it out with the green key.
Hello! I have SonyA6700 installed in PP1 from s gamut.3cine to s log3. is this a good solution? Will it be difficult later during processing? if I plan to shoot weddings! REPORTAGE!. give me some advice I will be very glad
Hey bro I just pick up the Sony a6700 what is the best setting to shoot slog 3 without it coming out grainy or what profile settings u would u recommend
I cannot find the setting for S-Cinetone on Sony FX-6. Where is it??? Every “expert” keeps talking about it but NOBODY tells you WHERE it is in the menu!!!
@@KofiYeboah Thank you. Love your channel. You explain very well. That did the trick. So simple IF you know where it is. I'm just starting out with Sony FX6 so don't know many things. Trying to learn. After tryig out S-Cinetone seems like SLog3 is much better with colors. But I had some problems using it with green screen in post. Looks like you have to first grade it, render out the video and only then apply the Key.
All good, but im sure most of the people who just starting exploring LOG and all those PPs on Sony cams, they dont have an idea what REC.709 means. And when I watch these kinds of video explaining ''how to color correct''' or ''how to color grade'' etc, I see very little amount of colorist who actually explain THE BASICS of colors.
Tbf the point of the video was specifically comparing the two picture profiles , not “the basics of colour” which might be why you’re not finding what you’re looking for, I have quite a few grading step by step videos on here, and there’s other channels that go in depth if that’s what you’re looking for
which camera? in the non fx6/fx9 its just in the colour tone menu same places as s log 3, fx6 its in the look menu just go from cine Ei to custom, then you can change your look from HLG or cinetone
Davinci Resolve's Color Space Transform node makes grading log footage easy.
True but i cant get into davinchi the layout looks so crazy almost like a gaming engine.. cant get used to it
@@JELLESLT it takes some getting used to, but once you get it, you might not look back. I hope you'll check it out again.

I haven’t, no
YES i’ve noticed the same S-CINETONE works better for me for all of that tbh, slog just look good if you can really colour grade imo
Very informative video, keep up the great work 👍
Thanks so much !!
Thinking a7iv and cinetone and shift in camera toward some magenta or some magenta in post could be big time saving.
Thank could work too!
Makes me wonder if content creators with quick turn around times would benefit with s-cinetone vs slog just to save time. But great video bro!
If you have your settings dialed in perfect , absolutely!
Thanks for making this man!
You’re welcome!
what about ITU709 vs S-cinetone when it comes to ease of use and quality?
4:42. Is that Mark bone next to the Bodybuilder?
@@nicholasolivas317 yup!
Nice work! Succinct with examples. Love it.
Thanks !!
good stuff thanks
what profile do you use for your youtube talking head portion?
s-log 3 !
Do you record Noah Olsen? he's great!
I have a few times yes !
Great video !
In Slog3 are you filming in Gamut3 or CineGamut3 ?
Which are your settings in PP8 (or the PP you did install)
I use s gamut.3cine on s log3👍🏾

All depends on how much you want to grade in post!
Great video ! ❤
Thanks !!

I just use it in s.gamut.3cine !
Hey and how do u expose for ur skin tones using zebras if u don’t mind telling me
Hi brother, I also bought a Sony a6700. I want to use S-Cinetone, is it worth it? give me some advice. is it worth using gamut.3cine in s log3
I want to use s cinetone without grading for the first. Does it makes sense to film in 10 bit if i don’t do any grading?
You don’t HAVE to , but I find 10-bit even ungraded looks better to me
Thank you
Thank YOU
Which editing / color grading software you used ??
Resolve !
Great video man :)
Thanks ! Hope it helped

Try going to custom mode before going o to paint/look

Why does no one talk about CINE 2 or CINE 3 ....these are the perfect medium.....
Because a Cinetone exists and for a bunch of reasons kinda makes Cine 1-4 a little redundant imo
I'm I the only one feel like s cinetone looks so green in skintone?
✌

You’re welcome !
@@KofiYeboah This was the perfect video based on the title and comparing the 2 profiles,.
Doesn't look like 15 stops of dynamic range
How do I find it in my menu. I hate sony and this difficult ass menu
