    Bought this wheel based on all of the great reviews. I specifically bought this wheel for PSVR2, GT7, and Trueforce. The absolute best combo imo. Totally addicted now. No regrets. Worth every dollar. Only issue now is I find it difficult to play a racing game that doesn’t support Trueforce. One time, the wheel glitched and Trueforce stopped working on GT7. Wow what a difference it made. The wheel suddenly felt empty. The FFB was still strong and working, but all of the other sensations were gone! I realized how much more immersion Trueforce was adding and rebooted the wheel to get it back. No kidding. My ButtKicker stopped working the day I got the Pro wheel and really haven’t missed it since. You can feel the added vibrations through the racing rig. Not as strong as the ButtKicker, but the haptics are definitely much more refined and actually useful. One of the best is the sensations of the front tires scrubbing when your car starts to under steer. Truly amazing stuff!

      Same...no regrets.....I did go a bit further and put my rig on four corner spring isolators with the bass shakers (Dayton's) on them and now simhub works with GT7 so now I can feel what all four tires are doing....sweet

      @@PodiumTuningRacing hey there....well no sorry I dont have any videos uploaded but there are a couple of reviewers on youtube who did it (th-cam.com/video/9ptD_Y9jTbc/w-d-xo.html) ....I have a 4080 rig (similar to trak racer TR80) with a bucket seat. I added the four corner Slip-Angle haptic system (you can google that and it will take you to their website). It's a four corner bass shaker system (Dayton's) that are mounted on the four spring Isolators that your rig then sits on. It's connected to my PC via usb with SimHub running which then looks for the signal from your PS5 (they have to be on same home network-simhub has instructions on what ports to open on your pc to listen for your PS5) It then send the telemetry to the bass shaker units to interpret what the road is doing...you can customize the effects in simhub. good luck,...its amazing

    When people say this wheel is too expensive they don't factor in that the return policy is 30 days and the warranty is 2 years. Fanatec is 14 days and 1 year. So the G Pro is twice as long. After purchase warranty and service matter on expensive products.

    Logitech's customer support is unmatched compared to other brands, specially fanatec. Also compatibility and easy of use is also really good. I don't care that much about how it looks, I care much more about how it performs, and this wheel excels in everything. Yes, it seems expensive, but it pays off down the road, specially considering durability and reliability. Thanks for the review.

    • @KeithZim
      @KeithZim ปีที่แล้ว +6

      How could you know if its durable or reliable? We could not possibly know anything about reliability until someone puts a few hundred hours on one. Logitech is very much known for cutting a fine line between quality and price. I had to stop buying their keyboards. Sure, they replaced all 3 of them once but I got sick of the down time( I bought a new keyboard instead of waiting on RMA everytime and gifted the RMA to others) . And Im using a Logitech mouse that was RMA just this year. And just to bring it into fine focus, this newegg brand Rosewill mechanical has lasted 3 times longer then a logitech and has nearly lasted as long as all 3 combined...... ALL 3 KEYBOARDS COMBINDED!!!!!!.. Logitech makes trash.......

I am also interested in the Moza wheel and the answer to this product that Thrustmaster is most certainly working on. Or, I may just say WTF and go all in. I'm sure you'll have a great time with it. I don't get the chance to get this back on the rig often. Which is a shame. I'm swapping hardware out on the rig constantly, like a game of musical chairs. And the mounting process for this wheelbase is rather awkward to set up on my rig each time. That wouldn't be an issue if it was my one and only wheelbase, but a bit of a pain for my circumstances.

      @@MrMikap74 Hey dude, pretty great so far... Had some issues with GHub software after they did one of the updates but managed to sort that and it has been pretty solid since. Not used a DD wheel before this one, so unfortunately i have nothing to compare it too. Compared to the T500rs belt driven wheel, it is far more responsive and much smoother. You don't get that overshoot when the wheel centres itself and also catching oversteer/understeer/spins is much more intuitive. Still tatting with settings and dialling it in for different games/cars etc... Not had much time over the holidays to play but so far i'm loving it.

I can see this is shelfs in a few months and that alone will boost (again) logitech. Not having 1000€ up front to buy, but can credit in a store like MM and having a great suport... Great review but I do have an issue. Your comparison between this and the R9/CSL DD I find to be a bit of a stretch given the difference in price. Where you should be comparing this is the Simagic Alpha Mini bundle which costs around the same and, in my opinion, is a much more attractive proposition.
    When you compare the two systems, it does make you wonder how much Logitech would wish to charge just for the wheelbase because that rim is certainly not a £400 rim nor does it compare to something cheaper like the Moza CS. Food for thought perhaps?

      @michaelmarchione6903 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea it arrived!
      Im loving the force feedback, but the wheel itself is..... well its meh. Its a good size, and has all the buttons and knobs youd want, but the buttons themselves are about the least tactile Ive ever felt. The leather wrap is slick, even when wearing my gloves (Racequips). I wouldve much rather they used alcantara as the wrap. Ive noticed (only in iRacing) that shifts are SOMETIMES delayed. It has seemed to be completely random. Happens occasionally every few races. Overall, I recommend it with a grain of salt. Firmware could use some updateing and I dont particularly think the wheel itself is worthy of the base. The FFB though. It really does stand out. Its crisp, feels immediate, and has TONS of detail. Havnt messed around with trueforce a hole lot. Ive had it set at 15 in GHub since day one, and its added a good extra level of immersion.
      Until logitech has more wheels, or releases a standalone QR for third party wheels, I would wait. Once that happens, this base will compete with the best of them.

The FFB in FH5 is quite basic, so you're probably not doing anything wrong. When I set the wheelbase up for FH5, I didn't spend much FFB tuning as it was clear it was never going to be much cop. Beyond adjusting the FFB strength, I'm sure I didn't do too much beyond that in the game. I do recall, that you do need to run the wheel at 900 degrees of rotation in GHUB or on the wheel menu.

    Many thanks for your excellent review. I’m not a lover of the look of the base or the wheel either to be honest. I mainly race formula cars so would have appreciated a choice of wheels on release. I don’t really want to pay for a wheel I’m not going to use so it’s a difficult decision. Moza, Logitech, or wait to see what Thrustmaster have to offer next week. I also see a company called Asetek have just released 3 new wheel bases and a few different wheels to go with their pedals. I have a Thrustmaster T300 and open wheel at the moment, will the difference in performance be worth the expense please? Thank you.

    I own one as well as I was impressed by all the reviews (yours as well) how good the FFB is. And as a beginner who owned Fanatec CSL Elite wheelbase and Thrustmaster T300 for short times, I am totally happy with it. The FFB is awesome and I am amazed by DD compared to the older systems I owned.
    However, I would like to see a F1 Wheel for the G Pro. And as one can see in your reviews, the LEDs on the G pro don't function with every game yet. I don't know if it is a Logitech problem or a software problem with the games. I usually play F1 2022 and it doesn't function there either (I play on XBOX Series X). If I open G Hub on PC there is feedback on the LEDs as you set them up. But other than that, I haven't been able to make them work in-game.
    In conclusion, your reviews made me buy the Logitech over Fanatec and I don't regret it at all. Hopefully an F1 wheel add-on will make the sim-racing feeling more immersiv soon (after all Logitech markets the wheel with F1 driver Landon Norris!!!???). But other than that I am totally happy 🙂

    I have several DD bases and the Logitech Pro is among the best, the FFB is spot on. the 11Nm of torque is the game changer over bases that are lower, the best thing about the Pro's 11Nm is it's completely usable at max FFB unlike other DD bases that clip and the FFB becomes noisy.
