The weird thing is that on the website, it lists the F1 games as specifically not supporting the clutches. You'd think they'd be the games to support them, not be almost the only games not to
I wonder if they just mean "don't support them as analog linear clutches" because the F1 games (to my knowlegde) only have clutch usage in an on/off state at race starts.
@@TuxLetsPlay On the website, it simply says "Does not support dual clutches", so not much to go on. I've heard from a friend that the F1 games support the clutch paddle found on some Thrustmaster wheels, so it just comes off as confusing to me
I hope this will encourage more games to implement Trueforce. I own a G923 and while the gear driver ffb it's what it is, with Trueforce supported games it's on another level of feel
It just connects the sound through the motors, that's basically trying to emulate the feel of a good wheel. This is the equivalent of having "7.1 surround sound" on headphones, which is just emulation. Sure it works, but it's nothing compared to a real thing when you try it out

Just got this at $749 wheel and base on PC. I was looking at this and the moza r12. I'm happy with my choice. 2 year warranty, active cooling fan, and trueforce. Trueforce really is as good as mentioned, without it it feels like something is missing. Big con is no formula style wheel even now still nothing no shifters nothing nada zilch.
I just saw a tweet of yours regarding this and was really intrigued about it. Just coming back into simracing after a hiatus and like always, glad to see some competition in this space.

@@sword_racer185 how is it "lacking"? When I compare this to fanatec price wise fanatec only just beats it and thats at a power disadvantage and lack of trueforce.
@Lorien I'd recc9mend watching LTTs video on it, I'm sick and not in the right mind to explain it, it essentially comes down to its a good wheel but there are similar options for less money that come with better pedals as well. Tldr, its good but priced too high
The only reason to buy this over the Simagic Alpha mini is console compatibility. If you are a pc only user I would definitely go the Simagic route. Main stream reviewer's don't seem to get sent Simagic products to review hence they seem not to compare them.
I hope they released different wheel rims for diferent racing styles... that one seems to work for everything but its better if you have a chance to use a proper formula or rally rim. Anyway I think both pedalset and wheel are overprized...

Okay so you're liking the true force on the pro wheel, but you have yet to explain how exactly trueforce makes curbs feel even better, alongside those minor details. What about trueforce on this wheel makes it better than the g923, what differences can you feel in comparison? Other wheels have rumble motors as you mentioned, but nothing is compared with regards to the actual feel between the two, only adjectives describing it. If I sound critical, apologies, but if I'm watching this looking to make my purchase for a DD adjectives don't help
Very nice review! Saw a ton of videos and that made me order it (upgrading from a g29 on ps5; considering switching to PC in 2 years) but this video would have been the only one I’d needed to see. Good job! Can’t wait for the set to arrive :-)
Little suggestion about the microphone audio: I'm not sure if you've tampered with it, but the voice seems to stop too abruptly going from a word to another, like you've got some strong noise reduction that's not just removing the noise floor but even parts of the words.
I find it so funny that once you get to DD wheels the market almost flips with Fanatec offering the cheapest option and Logitech offering one of the most expensive.
I want to see them come out with a pro level shifter to go with this one, to me that's a big weakness to not also have that.....Once they have that they can hurry up and take my money!
I'm in the same boat, although I just pulled the trigger. I think it's 100% going to happen. Their current shifter sucks and isn't even compatible without the adapter.
I'm interested to see if they have a new H shifter coming, and I like the idea of upgrading my g920 (pedals for now, hopefully shifter later) and then the wheelbase later
for pedals : you can change spring color : blue yellow red to desire . you can add on brake different foam for different result . probably you don't try to change it to what you like to feel .
This is pretty cool, though I kinda gave up on Logi (still love them for my G915 and G903) and went with the GT DD Premium from Fanatec. Which, just got shipped today! So, very excited. By the way, and please don't take this in an aggressive way, as it's not intended at all like that - but, your noise gate sir is very aggressive on your mic ;)
@@AIIM99 I had an issue with my rig actually and need to swap it out. BUT I did get a chance before my rig was discovered to be faulty to connect and try the GT DD Pro with GT wheel and CSL pedals (with load cell) and I gotta tell you I’m quite happy with it! I guess I might be a little stronger Thani give myself credit for because I was able to handle the force feedback easily, though it’s definitely no slouch at 8nm peak torque and it definitely made my arms tired after hours of racing. It’s a GREAT setup. Maybe one day I will upgrade to DD1 or DD2. But for now, this is a great system and it’s really easy to set up. They also have a lot of wheel options (I bought an extra McLaren GT3 wheel that recently arrived). Overall I’d definitely recommend it.
People complain and make a big deal about the Logitech G Pro Wheel/Pedals but it is SO AFFORDABLE & a GREAT DEAL! Currently, G Pro wheel+Pro pedals is just over $1200. When compare a similar setup from Fanatec, the Logitech is the budget buy. Fanatec is like going to fancy restaurant - everything (with the exception of the very few non-customizable bundles they offer) is a la carte. The Fanatec DD Pro + boost kit + a decent wheel (oh yea and don't forget paddle shifters... and a quick release because Fanatec sells those separately in most cases)
Great video. Some constructive feedback for you , Your noise gate on your vocal audio is too sensitive. It’s cutting off your “S” sounds and “D” sounds
Ecosystem my dude. They are trying to go the Apple route and make everything proprietary. I guarantee that once they build out the product line more (different wheels, pedal levels, shifters, handbrakes, etc...) they will drop the price and try to push fanatec and moza out the market.
@@stayoffthemarbles6790 if they wanted to push either of those out of the market they needed to launch at a lower price and create a captive audience. 2 massive mistakes here are that you cannot swap platform from ps to xbox or vice versa without buying the WHOLE BASE AND WHEEL all over again.. not allowing interoptability is a big no when you have a QR system like that. Should have done it the fanatec way and done PS in the base, and XBox in the wheel.. so stupid. They're not even close to competitive with anyone else with this right now, it's plastic and big and ugly and overpriced. Simple as that.
I realise this is an older review but @randomcallsign I have a question re: the Logitech wheelbase and wheel (not the pedals, I agree there's better for the money). If you had a choice between the Simagic Alpha Mini base and GT Neo wheel OR the Logitech G Pro base and wheel combo... which gives the better FFB and experience overall? (not factoring other ecosystem considerations at all, just based on quality of FFB and experience with the driving)
Stuck my pedals to the skirten boards with two blobs of blue tac they never move at all but can be pulled off if needed I don't even use or want a rig now my desk is very heavy and solid desk clamp is just so well thought out.
UK pricing for this is £850. Which lines up nicely with the CSL DD Pro and mclaren wheel from fanatec, before shipping.. not sure why the €/$ price is so high but hey, makes a change for once we don't have to pay more than everyone else as usually the £ price is same as the $ price
Sounds relatively reasonable, but honestly if those pedals are that expensive then they're actually not that good in fact they'll be boardline trash. As Logitech themselves are expecting people to mod mostly likely from a 3rd party. But if they can compete with Fanatec new pedals then they will actually seem to okay. Price affects perceptions
UK prices are usually quoted inclusive of tax, which is why they end up around the same numerical value as the pre-tax dollar price. That £850 is before taxes, however, so you'd actually be paying £1,020.
Since I played GT7 with PS5 the haptics on DS5 are so nice and you can feel a lot in racing games. When I use a wheel it’s numb. Great resistance and all but not much detail. I was like wheels need to add some sort of haptic feedback in wheels nowadays it would feel so good combined with the force feedback. True force in a DD feels like that idea. But more intense probably.
Great video, thanks. I've got a G920 mounted to a desk at the moment along with the pedals with a Truebrake mod on them. I'm happy enough with the pedals but really thinking about getting the Logitech Pro wheel, so great to hear some tips on how it works on a desk.
For $1000 USD for just the wheelbase, why wouldn't I just buy a Moza R9 with one of their nicer steering wheels? The only thing I see as the advantage of the Logi Pro is console compatibility, which thankfully does not matter to me in the slightest.
So glad there's choice by competition. For someone like myself who has consoles, I will stick to my Fanatec DD Pro. I like both the Forza series on Xbox, as well as Gran Turismo on PS. What other company lets you play on both consoles with the same drive hub?
Great video! I’ll see if I can get one of these used… If I were to offer some gentle feedback, I’d perhaps go a bit more gentle on how aggressive your noise gate is. It’s cutting off when you finish each sentence too aggressively which makes the audio sound quite unnatural.
The simagic mini is a beast! There are tests made with it that have measured 13 nm peak (it’s on an iracing forum) so the 10 claimed is likely the continuous torque. It is price the same as this Logitech and it’s very tiny compared to this one. The quick release on simagic is amazing and the fact that you can run other usb wheels it’s just Amazing and I am not forced to an ecosystem. We can now argue that being quick release you can use Logitech with an usb wheel as well but just overall stick to simagic. Though one bad thing to note about it is the notch feel when it’s centered but I’m certainly that it’s all fixed with software updates.
I’ve had the Logitech wheel for 3 months. There are no cables up snag. The cables are on the back of the wheel base. There is no possible way they will snag.
I'm gonna comment before I even watch your video randy and I hope readers take this as a good tip. Lots of these u-beaut wheels clip ie lose ffb at critical times in a race. In a long race, lots of corners, or high ffb settings I am reading that expensive DD wheel bases are clipping due to overheating and/or gamers using them at the maximum rated Nm because they didn't know about this issue. The solution I've read is to turn the ffb down to where it doesn't clip. Now I see the Logi G Pro has a fan in back instead of an all aluminum casing. So instead of looking steampunk or if I was to be narky, looking like a Ford Escort gear box, the Logi Pro looks more retail, mainstream even ordinary; aka just another plastic thingy. BUT, I am also reading that a player cannot hear the fan because it is so quiet. I have not read or heard of ANYBODY complaining of clipping on the Logi Pro base at ANY ffb setting. I have read and heard the ffb is as smooth as silk AND is not grainy! What does that tell me? Logi did in fact get it right in many areas.I Also last thing, I note that the Logi G Pro is sold a at brick and mortar outlets at leas there in Oz it is.
Looks perfect, but I need manual shifter for Assetto Corsa. What manual shifter is compatible for G Pro. Can I use my old manual shifter from Logitech G27?
if you buy the Logitech G Racing Adapter, yes, pedals plug into the base as normal, then the base and shifter would plug into the adaptor and the adaptor plugs into the PC or Console
This is why I never do any firmware updates on my wheels. If its not broke don't fix it. Never did one on my TGT2 and definitely won't be on my G Pro. Not worth the risk of ending up with a 1100 quid paperweight
if I had to do it all over again I would go with thrustmaster.... Logitech hasn't made any aftermarket wheels for this thing yet and it has been over a year.
If I had any advice for you it would be keep your thumbs out of the inside of the wheel. FF might not be strong enough to break or tear things but DD wheels do.
If this was sold in brick and mortar shop, price would drop like you see with the G25 clones (no hate, they are genuinely great wheels and one can argue all you need). Just online for this price... Not that I am in the market for one but I would go Fanatec or Moza. Cheaper and the difference of 3 nm is really not going to be noticeable in 99% of the cases.
Your titles often bring a smile, one that reminds me of childhood. Nobody beat anybody. There's a wheel for everyone out there. And most definitely Logitech didn't beat Fanatec with a wheel that costs DOUBLE the Fanatec one for 3 extra nm. As for the pedals, at the same price you can get the Clubsport V3, metal, not plastic, and actually upgradeable, compared to these. The Elite V2 pedals (plastic) are the 100 euros less than Logitech's offering. Small advice: if you do wish to grow this channel, it wouldn't hurt to sound a bit more balanced and mature.
That's cool and all, but youtube doesn't work that way. The title was logitech dd review before then changed to logitech set a new dd standard. All of them had minuscule impacts. This one works, because youtube works through clicks and keeping the viewerwatching the video. So I have a balance to hit. I need to put a title out that is clickable, interesting that still presents my opinion. This one worked, people are coming. I once took opinions like that very dear. I kept the title straight and to the point for years, including up to September this year where I almost quit youtube. They don't work. In reality, they worked actively to stagnate the channel. 2022 was the worst year I've had in a long while. I am sorry, but the youtube game isn't what you think it is.
@@randomcallsign this is my first video of yours I'm watching but, literally, every long-time TH-camr I watch has been saying the exact same thing for 2 years now... YT can't seem to keep a balance. I don't even see the videos from channels I've subbed to unless they have clickbaity titles. Sucks.
Its good to see Logitech throw down the gauntlet against other sim racing equipment manufacturers. Some of their design ideas like the tool free elastomer swap and easy pedal width adjustment is very wise. I always liked having built in RPM leds and the extra Nm included will be a purchasing consideration for sim racers. I wonder how the software driver implementation will make use of the hardware. It will also be interesting to see how the other equipment manufacturers respond later down the track with their product offerings.
throwing down the gauntlet by pricing themselves out of the market with an oversized, overpriced new ecosystem ? This should have been a loss-leader to get people back on the Logitech train then start with the peripherals, chucking it out at this price WITHOUT PEDALS is asinine.
The fact you can drop 1k on a wheel from a company who makes one 30 dollar option for a shifter and no option for sequential of handbrakes is wild. Logitech needa up their game.
Had to sell my trusty g920. Probably will be getting this WAY latter when (if) the price goes down. In the meantime, if it’s true, I will probably get the G923 and just upgrade the pedals once Logitech release the adapter.
Hey man, great review. I noticed something weird with your audio, I don't know if the noise suppression from your mic is too strong, but it cuts your voice out at some points, like at 26:09. (edit: fixed timestamp)

Sure it works, but it's nothing compared to a real thing when you try it out
@@pedrosilvaproductions totally true, but that's what I got and that's what I'll stick with. Never said it's better than pricier alternatives, it's just a very nice feature I hope will get a wider support in games (FH5 I'm talking to you 👀)
This is a better review than Will's (no offense Will) review, especially the pedal part.
You guys were both struggling under braking, Will more so. Yet he was really mellow providing his opinion, while you held nothing back. Which is what the potential consumer watching these reviews needs. Will was very visibly struggling, i was actually surprised he didn't bash them.
He should've.
I hope they make a cheaper 5 NM model in the future, it would probably sell extremely well too
cheaper ?
You will see them cheaper soon, the MOMO force on release, or the $100 later models. give them 5 years !
Thank you so much for reviewing the desk clamp! Nobody else that I had seen did before
I just saw a tweet of yours regarding this and was really intrigued about it. Just coming back into simracing after a hiatus and like always, glad to see some competition in this space.
seeing the price, for me, Logitech is still one step behind. Since fanatec and simcube will release new stuff soon aswell and thrustmaster just came with a base for more entry. Also Moza is making big steps. Will be fun to see them compete with each other
This wheel make sense only for PS5 and Xbox users. On PC this is out of market
trueforce is really something that can make the difference
@@DonVincenzooGame no not really, i mean yeah its nice but its by no means does it make enough of a difference in wich wheel i buy, i honestly find thrustmasters entry level products like the t150 and t248 to be a better value and better product overall than logitech g29 and would choose the t248 over the logitech pro wheel any day its lacking for $1000 product especially when you can get a bundle from moza or fanatec for much more future complete packages for about the same amount of money or less, overall logitech has a lot to learn when it comes to DD, id much rather see a higher end belt drive wheel from logitech than a lacking DD wheel
Anyway I think both pedalset and wheel are overprized...
we are talking about enthusiast price level gear here... it would be shot in a foot if logitech didn't plan to release whole ecosystem around Pro base
Exactly! Id prefer a fully rounded one as its more convenient for drifting and it looks better overall.
it was a QR for a reason
@@veryrare7647 Yes you are right.. I must say I hope ther released different rims SOON.. But anyways logitech ecosystem its so limited in rims.. Im sure it will come in the future but... When? I think they should have been released the wheel with at least 2 or 3 rims to choose from specially at that price point. Nowadays a lot of companies are offering that for less...
Great video my guy! Just one thing, please turn down the Noise Gate in your voiceover. 😅😅
Another excellent review. You’re killing it at the moment dude!!!
I bought the pedals cause the g29 one died and now Im thinking to get this. Everyone says its nice and all but its really expensive tho
im on g29 but casual player- looking forward to see new wheel dlc for logitech. maybe in 1 year will buy this
I'm interested to see if they have a new H shifter coming, and I like the idea of upgrading my g920 (pedals for now, hopefully shifter later) and then the wheelbase later
Why you need fancy swiffer, go do sticks shift driving ?
they sell a cheap USB box, use any pedals er what ever...
@@lucasRem-ku6eb I'm currently limited to what will hookup to the xbox, it's not so plug and play
Just heard about the new wheel today, glad u made a video on this!
lots of factual info with a bit of humor to spice it up - the quick memes you add are much appreciated
for pedals : you can change spring color : blue yellow red to desire . you can add on brake different foam for different result . probably you don't try to change it to what you like to feel .
I bought the pro and pedals and frankly very very impressed. I’m super happy been about a year now I would do it again in a split second.
That photoshop next to the bmw made me crack up
This is pretty cool, though I kinda gave up on Logi (still love them for my G915 and G903) and went with the GT DD Premium from Fanatec. Which, just got shipped today! So, very excited.
By the way, and please don't take this in an aggressive way, as it's not intended at all like that - but, your noise gate sir is very aggressive on your mic ;)
Hi I’m thinking about to buy the gt dd aswel but is it better I want your opinion on it
@@AIIM99 I had an issue with my rig actually and need to swap it out.
It’s cutting off your “S” sounds and “D” sounds
would love a DD wheel but cant deal with blowing a grand. still rocking my T500rs 5nm
In this video you're using a gear shifter with the Logitech Pro. What shifter are you using?
I have it for 2 months now........love it
Price point is insane, as are the mounts why on earth not just make it like every other DD in terms of bottom mount
@random callsign: Great review! Thank you!
For that price, they are selling you plastic pedals when you could easily buy the CSL Pedals with LC or the V3.
@@AJCham ah yes you're correct, it isn't including taxes for some reason...
Great, honest review. Thank you
Since I played GT7 with PS5 the haptics on DS5 are so nice and you can feel a lot in racing games.
Your desktop wallpaper is beautiful.
they look good but I still like my thrustmaster and would like to upgrade to fanatec when i can
That wheelbase is HUGE!
So glad there's choice by competition. For someone like myself who has consoles, I will stick to my Fanatec DD Pro. I like both the Forza series on Xbox, as well as Gran Turismo on PS. What other company lets you play on both consoles with the same drive hub?
Logitech? Just add an xbox wheel to the PlayStation wheelbase and it works across all 3 ecosystems just like Fanatec.
Great video! I’ll see if I can get one of these used…
If I were to offer some gentle feedback, I’d perhaps go a bit more gentle on how aggressive your noise gate is. It’s cutting off when you finish each sentence too aggressively which makes the audio sound quite unnatural.
Finally Logi glowup! Also great review and it's timing :D
Everything seems good but you using driving gloves at 01:56 is hilarious 😂😂
My g923 needs an update, this is going to be next one once they hit the second-hand market.
Though one bad thing to note about it is the notch feel when it’s centered but I’m certainly that it’s all fixed with software updates.
trueforce is unique to logitech
@@DonVincenzooGame I think compatibility with both console and PCs are a massive plus. Many of the competitors are PC only.
@@supercededman i am pc only . when it come to sim racing a little pc is the best way to go for me .
Big red flag already: 2 cables that can snag from rotation on a wheel is not a good deal, especially at this price point
I’ve had the Logitech wheel for 3 months. There are no cables up snag. The cables are on the back of the wheel base. There is no possible way they will snag.
Imagine this base with the Thrustmaster SF1000 wheel… glorious !
I absolutely love my g923 when it stops working if I can't fix I'll buy direct drive
Great review video brother
That bmw m8 bit had me chuckle 😂
Thanks for the review RC. More choice is a good thing, the price ... perhaps less so.
How would you compare this to the Fanatec DD Pro?
Nice GM background 🎉
Can u make a video connecting the racing adapter using the logitech shifter and the new wheel of logitech g pro
Just wish they made a pro shifter and hand e brake
would you recommend Logitech Pro pedals over the Fanatec Clubsport V3?
Soooo, what about the H-shifter??
The omission of a d-pad seems like it would be a 🫓 to navigate menus, no?
if I had to do it all over again I would go with thrustmaster.... Logitech hasn't made any aftermarket wheels for this thing yet and it has been over a year.
Insanely expensive, you can have Fanatec DD1 with this heavy price Tag
With a bad QR
Hello, which is the best set up for Assetto Corza? Do you use G923 compatibility or G-Pro?
If I had any advice for you it would be keep your thumbs out of the inside of the wheel. FF might not be strong enough to break or tear things but DD wheels do.
If this was sold in brick and mortar shop, price would drop like you see with the G25 clones (no hate, they are genuinely great wheels and one can argue all you need). Just online for this price... Not that I am in the market for one but I would go Fanatec or Moza. Cheaper and the difference of 3 nm is really not going to be noticeable in 99% of the cases.
And I have 3 fanatec rims so that helps obviously.
So what exactly you don’t like about the pedals
At first i thought it was a joke. But now thrustmaster is REALLY in trouble.
Sucks.
Can you share your pc in-game and g hub settings for ACC and AC? Thanks for the video.
I know it's kinda late and it's probably has been fixed already, but I suggest to namek the noise gate less agressive, it make the voice real choppy.
I had always assumed when Logitech/Thrustmaster finally released a DD wheel they would undercut Fanatic but guess I assumed wrong. Looks nice anyway!
I agree, though Fanatec has been in this market for some time. I would assume that after some time, the cost will come down (in theory).
Inflation is aBi***
Had to sell my trusty g920. Probably will be getting this WAY latter when (if) the price goes down. In the meantime, if it’s true, I will probably get the G923 and just upgrade the pedals once Logitech release the adapter.
Hey man, great review. I noticed something weird with your audio, I don't know if the noise suppression from your mic is too strong, but it cuts your voice out at some points, like at 26:09. (edit: fixed timestamp)
It was very helpful seeing the pedals compared to the Deathstar 👍
It's a fully operational battle station
