    If they make a more entry level model for consoles and pc I reckon they can easily take on the fannatec dd. Especially considering how well the g29 does in console spaces.

      Unfortunately this looks to be exactly that, an entry level DD. looking at the plastic construction limited rotation and lower quality buttons, power plug ect. Only thing they may do is sell a unit without truforce and a fixed wheel.

    It's interesting, but not in the "I want it" way of interesting, it's rather "tie your cat's rear legs together and glue a sticky note on its head to watch it trying to walk funny" interesting.
    The prices are a bucket of ice cold water dropped on your head - not poured out, just dropped so it hits you bottom first.
    Design is questionable, but subjective. The biggest flaw in this is definitely going to be software, as just saying "g hub" is enough to give some people ptsd and logitech are seriously doing themselves a disservice if they're going to rely on it long term without completely overhauling it.
    Time will tell how it will work out when it hits the masses.

    • @yubos98
      @yubos98 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hell right, G HUB is the bane of my existence as a Logitech G920 user prior to me getting a Moza R9. While SimPit is not the best thing in the world, it's miles ahead of G HUB in terms of stability. The bloody thing just works! I turn on the base - it gets detected, I go off to the races. With G HUB I had to relaunch the damned software all the time to make it recognize the wheel so that I could switch presets! Also, having the ability to use my smartphone to manipulate the wheel's settings without alt-tabbing is a great feature!

    I used the G29 for about 2 years on F1 2020 but I wanted to go Direct Drive. Here in Australia Fanatec is sold out everywhere, impossible to get and most of the others are too. So I went for the G9 Pro and it is fantastic. The more I get used to the fine adjustments it gets even better. The large plastic case I think is to make a channel for airflow all around to be sucked out the back with the 80mm exhaust fan. And the DD motor would be mounted directly to the bottom mounting plate. I also think the pedals are fantastic.

    It would be great if Logitech decide to sell this in Brazil/SA region where you can't really but any DD wheel from Fanatec/Moza etc, they could take an market that have no easy option. If they bring this to Brazil it would probably cost around 2k USD with taxes, but you can't really buy any other DD for less that 3/4k USD from a independent import, so would make this became an easy option for almost everyone who wants an DD wheel that is officially sold inside the country.

    My current setup is the Fanatec CSL DD with McLaren W. and V3 Fanatec P. - I am looking to get something better and I was looking at the Fanatec DD2 base or completely switching to SC 2 Pro. but then this came out. Can you please give me your honest opinion on which you think is better?

    Since I played GT7 with PS5 the haptics on DS5 are so nice and you can feel a lot in racing games. When I use a wheel it’s numb.
    Great resistance and all but not much detail. I was like wheels need to add some sort of haptic feedback in wheels nowadays it would feel so good combined with the force feedback. True force in a DD feels like that idea. But more intense probably.

Do you guys play it event if you completed campaign and already collected all cars?

Should have done it the fanatec way and done PS in the base, and XBox in the wheel.. so stupid.

    The simagic mini is a beast! There are tests made with it that have measured 13 nm peak (it’s on an iracing forum) so the 10 claimed is likely the continuous torque. It is price the same as this Logitech and it’s very tiny compared to this one. The quick release on simagic is amazing and the fact that you can run other usb wheels it’s just Amazing and I am not forced to an ecosystem. We can now argue that being quick release you can use Logitech with an usb wheel as well but just overall stick to simagic. Though one bad thing to note about it is the notch feel when it’s centered but I’m certainly that it’s all fixed with software updates.

    When compare a similar setup from Fanatec, the Logitech is the budget buy. Fanatec is like going to fancy restaurant - everything (with the exception of the very few non-customizable bundles they offer) is a la carte.
