I AIN'T THE LOSER is a song that I wrote in 1965. Ronnie Van Zant and I both agreed that it suited his personality and went along with his message. He sung it with My Backyard and One Percent. It was my response to getting judged for an outward appearance. I felt empathy for the old fisherman and farmers with beards.
