- Descaling my Delonghi Dedica EC 685 coffee machine.
If the steam light is flashing orange, the appliance needs descaling.
Lime from the water can clog up the heater, and make repairs unsustainable.
I used the Delonghi Eco Decalk mini descaling fluid, that contains lactic acid.
Danger, read the instructions before using.
The fluid can splash and cause serious eye damage and skin irritation.
Keep children out of way. Keep the descaling fluid out of reach of children.
The correct procedure can be fund in the instructions or at Delonghi help center, "support dedica Steam-light-flashing".
You will need, descaling fluid, one bowl and one waterglass. Danger, the water is hot.
Calculate 45 minutes for the descaling and rinsing procedure.

You are the best and simple video. The other are a lot complicated. 🎉
Hi. Thanks, your comment inspires me to make more videos 😀
I just bought one for 20 dollars that needed descaling, the owner was a girl who thought it was broken LOL, I just descaled it and I'm enjoying a nice hot cappuccino!
Keep them clean and keep them going 👍

Hi I’ve got the same machine I must be doing the cycle wrong as it’s still flashing orange on mine
Hi. Most commonly overseen, is that after the descaling prosess is stopped, you have to refill the water canister and push the steam button once more to start the rinsing cycle. Secondly the remember to turn the steam knob up in the brewing position again. Try to do the whole cycle again just with water.
Had a good go this morning without the kids running in & we got it working again thank you
