I have one like this it's fun!
Thank you. And they are very decorative too 😀
@@kaffipausen i agree! 😻
I have one as well but in a dark Green 😸. I've not seen many in this color it's very pretty It's beautiful as a decoration piece and it grinds the coffee beautifully for my morning coffee. I completely tore apart my green one and gave it a deep cleaning alongside a good oilling a few years ago when I bought it 😸
Dark green is a classic
My grandfather owns this one from 1997. Still working. One of the best!
Amazing! Give my regards to your grandfather 😀
A more simple way is turn it off and wait 20-30s😂

You're welcome
You know that you possible can get some spare parts via Moccamaster Nordic?! E.g. lid covers, filter basket.
Hi. Thank you for you kind remark. They sell the parts at my lokal supermarket to, but the cost of the parts will probably exceed the value of the coffee maker. And the video would not be as entertaining if everything was perfect 😀

Hi. I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching 😀
Hello mister @Kaffipausen, i just got this machine and i don't know how much coffee should i put to make just one cup ? Can u please give me some tips for how to use it properly? And i also have a reusable coffee filter that came with it, is it enough without using paper filter? Thanks man and keep posting cool videos, Cheers ;)
Hi. One cup is a to small quantity. A drip coffeemaker is usually used to make a full pot. Making just 1 cup is more difficult. But, you can use the 2-4 cup button to make 2 cups. 1 cups is 125 ml, so 2 cups is 250 ml. Usually the recommended amount is 7 grams per cup. But for1- 2 cups I would start with 375 ml of water and about 21 grams of medium ground coffee. Experiment to get it to your taste. A reusable coffee filter should be used without a paper filter, but you have to keep it clean. If you just want one cup, I would recommend The Moccamaster Cup-One drip coffeemaker. Enjoy your coffee.
omori reference???????
Espresso and orange juice is much older than "omori", so it is probably the other way around. According to Honest & Rare, it is believed that the drink became popular in the 1950s when Brazil had a coffee surplus and the government promoted the consumption of orange juice to boost the citrus industry.
I just bought one for 20 dollars that needed descaling, the owner was a girl who thought it was broken LOL, I just descaled it and I'm enjoying a nice hot cappuccino!
Keep them clean and keep them going 👍

Not sure what you were trying to get across or “promote”, but will certainly not opt for the pods. Ground coffee still the best.

Hello, I'm back here again after getting that machine last week and getting some experiments with it. I just want to share really helpful method of how to get the best espresso experience with that machine and original pressurized baskets: bigger 2 cups basket with 14 grams of good pre-ground or freshly ground coffee, no more than 25 seconds of extracting and 1:2.5 proportion. It means you should get no more than 35-36 grams of beverage. I found that method online and tested. Fantastic results! That is single shot off course, for double or two caps you should repeat the process. Or just use two caps for same 36 grams, it gives you 18 grams each cup. Highly recommended to try if you want to get real espresso experience with standard setup!
Hi. Congratulations on your new espresso machine. Thank you for sharing and keep experimenting 😀
Still not real espresso unless the grounds produce the resistance themselves
Having worked with both professional and domestic machines, it isn't fare to compare this to professional machines that cost many times the cost of a Dedica. The Dedica wins on value for money and small footprint.

I have a Salter drip machine and it is brilliant, I make two cups every morning, saves me £6 a day. I think if you used the filter supplied in your machine you would find it will work better
Hi. Thank you for commenting. A drip maker is a great way to enjoy good coffee every morning. I just have to test all drip coffee makers with the same consistent recipe. 55 grams of coffee in a paper filter with 1.000 ml of water. But, in this case, it was less than the coffee makers at full capacity of 1.250 ml. Enjoy your coffee ☕
@@kaffipausen Thanks for your rapid response. I think, in my opinion as a casual coffee drinker, percolator coffee is the bestest. Enjoy your journey
thank you

Hi I’ve got the same machine I must be doing the cycle wrong as it’s still flashing orange on mine
Hi. Most commonly overseen, is that after the descaling prosess is stopped, you have to refill the water canister and push the steam button once more to start the rinsing cycle. Secondly the remember to turn the steam knob up in the brewing position again. Try to do the whole cycle again just with water.
Had a good go this morning without the kids running in & we got it working again thank you
Excellent idea! I'll definitely try to repeat this, thank you
Thank you for commenting. I hope you will enjoy your hot chocolate.
Thank you! Much appreciated. Based on the outcome that I saw in those 3 glasses, my verdict is that DeLonghi Dedica does not produce the espresso that would satisfy me.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
You can buy a normal unpressurised basket and a bottomless portafilter to brew conventional espresso rather than from a pod or pre-ground coffee in a pressurised basket
In my humble opinion, forget an unpressurised basket on the Dedica. A professional boiler have much more power. A pressurised basket is good enough for the price-point. If you want a unpressurised basket, save your money, until you can buy a 2.000 USD and up espresso machine. Another difference is that the Dedica have a 51 mm basker but professional baskets is 58 mm. It´s like comparing an ordinary car with formula 1. That said, I really like my Dedica in my Kitchen.
@@kaffipausen I use an unpressurised basket in my Dedica and it works surprisingly well with everything but really light roasted beans. It's much better than café-quality and you can taste the notes of the coffee even with my cheap hand grinder
@@alinaqirizvi1441I´m happy to hear you can make it work.
Thank you for watching this video! I am currently working on new video ideas. Like if you like.
Thank you. For my big opinion, all are not real espressos, but ground coffee shots (1 and 2) have much better extraction. The best is number 2, I think number 1 should be half shorter. But both have nice colour crema which means they are correctly extracted. Number 3 (pod shot) looks really watered with deadly white and really poor and thin crema. I'm not sure what did you want to say with the description of your video but (again - for my opinion only!) it should be look like 'don't use pod packed coffee!' :) And thank you again, I didn't use pods with my Deduca before and now I'll definitely not try to buy them in future :)
