i wish i had a laser cutter, makes everything possible
Laser cutters are really coming down in price. There are a lot of options out there for hobbyists and crafters. They are pretty easy to learn and a lot of fun. Another option is to look into a community "Maker space". These are popping up everywhere and great to help crafters and makers of all types. It is generally an affordable membership and often a non profit. The purpose is to have all the machines that people might want to use but can afford or do not have space for. It is a wonderful community of very helpful people.
thx for sharing
You bet!
can this be covered with transparent epoxy resin for a nice shiney look AND protection?
It can but make sure that you understand what the final application is for. I clear epoxy is great for indoors. For outside, you might actually want some type of rugged clear varnish. Epoxy will eventually turn a little yellow in sunlight. Even an art epoxy that has UV protection can still yellow.
If you masked it you could have painted it then pulled the masking off. Also wouldn't get the burn marks
That is a common method. However, I hate having to remove the masking tape. Especially all the tiny pieces which are easily missed. It really comes down to preference.
