    Making a 9 color sign for my daughter's room using Amana Tool® CNC Router Bits and STEPCRAFT M.700 CNC machine available on our website. www.toolstoday.com
    Matt from ToolsToday used the 90° V-Groove insert carbide router bit no. RC-45711 to make very clean cuts through the Oramask 813 into the wood. The bit carves through the mask perfectly leaving no cleanup work, especially with the cleanup pass built into the @vectricltd software. Oramask 813 was applied to the piece before it was carved each time. Painted with General Finishes Sunglow Milk Paint, it dries quickly and limits any bleeding. Finished with Helmsman Sparurethane. ToolsToday provided product.

    The little girl is the best part of the video. Love the sign too.

    What a terrific project! Totally worth the smiles you got. I was wondering about layering the oramask and how well it would be cut. Amazing! I need that bit!!

      The Oramask cuts surprisingly very well.

    Looks like a great sign and a happy little girl. I seem to have issues with oramask peeling up especially when I do small text.

    Of the OraMask peels off, you can cover it with liquid gum. Just attach it with a fine brush. I used it at a long time ago when I did Airbrush. After it dried out, you can also peel it off like the Oramask. Pebeo Drawing Gum.

    Does Fusion 360 have a way to carve with a V-bit for sharp corners?

    • @ToolsToday
      @ToolsToday  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We personally haven’t done it, but do believe Fusion 360 has a v-carve option.

    Did you use the feeds posted in description? I was just using the same bit for oak and was getting some chatter using the default speeds. I'm guessing that being a harder wood I should have slowed it down a bit?

    • @ToolsToday
      @ToolsToday  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I did. On harder woods, you can keep the speed and feed the same, just lower your depth per pass, that should eliminate any chatter.

    My oramask came off the stained wood I carved in. How do I avoid that?

  • @PacesIII

    It may have helped to not stack the masking. Remove and replace.
