5w-30 is fine. Its what is called for in the Japanese owners manual. I went by my Subaru dealership to pick up some crush washers and the old guy at the parts department said "Your WRX takes 5w-30"
I printed a AP vent mount for my 2016 and it was so hot one day the mount shrunk and warped from the heat. I live on the east coast but livin' in Cali be aware. I've since traded the car in for the 22 wrx.
Thanks for the heads up. I’m buying the IBR AP mount in the near future just because the quality with this one is trash. It was very good on the wallet but it’s horrible on the eyes lol
I have a Wrx also I’m having a problem I think with the ac compressor does yours sounds? I have the cobb accessport installed but I haven’t done the intake I’m thinking about bringing it to the dealership I called and they said just make an appointment

I haven’t had any AC compressor noises yet. Hopefully not at all but it’s still too soon to tell because I haven’t really ran it much since owning this.
I sent him a DM on Instagram and he sent me his PayPal to pay for the tune. Then he sent me an email to respond to with my list of mods so he could customize it for me as an OTS TUNE

Yea bro check it out. I have been using 5w-30 for about 10k now with no issues.
Theres suppose to be a software update on the access port so it doesnt drain your battery when its left plugged in and its off.

Yea that’s what I’ve heard too. I’ve read that 0w-20 is just for emissions stuff. Gotta love old guys, they know their stuff lol

I used it to put on my tune. Then I unhooked it and threw it in a box. I trust my Drunkmann OTS tune.
