Anthony genuinely cares about each car he tunes. I’m very thankful for coming across his page a couple years ago!
I am no longer in the Subaru game but Anthony tuned my VB last year. He is top notch and maybe the best in my opinion. It is worth every penny with him.
I just got my car tuned from Anthony. Absolutely blown away with his work. Highly recommend. Only bolt on mod I have is an ETS cold air intake. With his 93 tune I'm hitting a peak of 20-21psi boost.
🔥🔥 it’s amazing how a simple tune can do to the car
Do you know your whp/wtq?
@@joshuaanderson7918 Sorry, im just seeing this comment now... I dont know for sure what my exact numbers are. Anthony said that my WHP should be around 335. I plan on putting my car on his dyno in April to get true numbers.
Anthony violating my Tuner Talk agreement. Youll be hearing from my lawyers 😂😂
Can we settle it with a set of Doragon please
@@jdmuscleusa 😂😂😂😂 you got me!
We need more of them!
LOL!
@@flcl48 MORE to come!
dmann is a legend! love this man and his tunes are incredible!
Both the host and guest (Dmann) were very respectful to each other. Dmann is very knowledgeable. Never seen him before but have heard of him. Great tips!
Thank you! Hope this video will clear out a lot of the questions ppl have!
He is huge for this platform
The last part about injector cycle is new info. Sounds like the VB fuel system is even more capable than thought!
VB doesnt cease to give us surprises for sure!
@@jdmuscleusa did i hear that correct that the VB transmission isn't good? at the beginning of the video..

Leo and DMann always take good care of me. Service is exceptional! Appreciate the collab! 🙏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Thank you sir!!! -Leo
This helps alot i just ordered a pro tune this will make it so i dont have to keep emailing melanie asking dumb questions 😂 they are very cool though ive asked alot of dumb questions already and i doubt any other tuner would be as nice as them
This is great. I'm new to the Subi world. Answers a lot of questions.
Glad it was helpful!
Anthony is awesome to work with and awesome at what he does! Great reliable tune on my 2020 WRX!
I agree and he is very responsive. Great guy
Thank you both for taking the time to make this incredibly informative video.
@@KasperWithA-K Anytime!!
Great video. It answers a lot of good questions new modders would have, myself included. Thanks!!
Awesome! I just added some key time stamps in the description so you can always revisit to the section needed :)
Just wanted to throw out there that I am leading a project to open these ECUs to the public, and will be releasing free software called Atlas under our North American Motorsports Research brand when everything is ready. We are building forged FA24s starting next week and will be tuning those as well this winter exclusively using Atlas as the development continues. Atlas doesn't require an AccessPort, it just requires you to have a laptop (MacOS and Steam Deck are also supported), and a Tactrix cable. We presently have full access to these ECUs and are working on some really awesome custom features next.
That being said, you absolutely should get a tune from Dmann/etc., they are great as are many others in the market for tuning your Subaru. But if tuning your own car like the old open source days is something that interests you, search us up and follow along with us for progress!
They told me about this! I was interested but you have my attention now. lol
@@DrunkmannTuning I’d love to get a beta copy on your hands to play with! We have a discord chat for the community, I can try to share here but they tend to block links on TH-cam

Great timing on this video. I am just getting ready to install an intake and buy a dmann etune.
Aye.. Let us know if we could help with anything :)
Only 130 miles on my VB so I'm gonna enjoy the warranty for awhile. But when I'm ready, I'll be going with a Dmann tune.
The itch is real tho 😝
Ya, I thought the same. Even entirely stock car with his tune entirely makes the VB feel as it should. Absolutely no comparison to stock tune. 5w30, change it every 3000 miles and IAG AOS is highly recommended regardless.
Great video! I'm getting tuned by you soon and this answered most of my questions
Thank you!!!
Great video, needed this!
I've got three of Anthony's OTS tunes, love every one of them! I need to do the eTune before winter as I want to switch back to 93. I've only got one ethanol gas station in a 60 mile radius and they really cut back on the ethanol % in winter, plus some peace of mind on trips when I cannot find ethanol.
You will have better start ups during winter too with regular octane vs E
@@jdmuscleusa Do I order the “single fuel” for $350?
Dmann tuned my 17 a while back. Such a pleasure to deal with. It was my first time and he was patient. Car ran mint for the rest of the time I had it. Took multiple logs but I was pretty well modded and he wanted to get it right, which I respect. And yes, when you live in an area where it's tough to go WOT in the day, you'll be that guy hunting for spots at 3am, ask me how I know.
Happy to hear!! And wow that 3 am pull tho lol
Yeah, kind of… I might be old school but I like the face to face, getting an actual power number, plus it was cool to see the car on the rollers.
I worked with my dyno tuner in person and I had some drivability stuff I wanted addressed, such as throttle remap, idle speeds at hot and cold adjusted, etc. I sent him data logs also driving around town.
Just north of $600 for all that so hard to complain.
Not everyone have someone local! This is where Etune comes to play :)
Dman is amazing hes done awsome work for my vb🤘🏻🔥
Thanks for sharing your experience!
We need some transmission upgrade options for sure.
I got Stage 1 from Dmann about 2 years ago for my 22 WRX MT Perrin Air Intake w/ 93. Is there available any update improving that tune?
I used to have a tune from Dman, but when I updated my accessport I couldn’t upload/change one of my tunes, sent the email to have the tune updated, and I NEVER got the updated file/response. A week or so had passed and I literally had enough time to find another tuner that was very responsive and helped me out. It’s a shame I enjoyed the dman tune, but the lack of communication killed it for me, especially for an etune, communication is everything.
That is very atypical for me tbh. I’m sorry that happened to you. But yeah no excuses when the update came out I had 1500+ requests. I had two shops even helping me full time update maps and I’m sure some still got lost. Should have never happened sir and I apologize. But in the end we are humans. But glad you found someone else that was able to help!
@@DrunkmannTuning I can understand it, nothing against you for sure. I was just in need to swap back to 91oct cause I was sitting on an e85 tune for too long and wanted to give the fuel system a break.
When flex fuel is available I’ll be back though. I appreciate your good work.
FELIX DMANN ANTHONY = THE GOAT
e85 smiles per gallon
Planing on doing this tune very soon - This 2024 VB is unbelievably slow but its a lease so I don't want to void warranty but I really cant drive this anymore..
Just flash it back when you return it :))
I had my STI tunned in Hawaii by Dman car ran solid for a few years until i moved states and tuned for a different fuel by different tuner..RIP
Should of stick with the best!
Have a 2022 WRX vb just has perrin intake and exhaust bought it this way and was wondering what a tune would do for me I don't want to modify it much
@@brandonmarks6035 probably another 1-20 ish hp on top. But curve is gonna be a lot smoother than stock. Sometimes it’s all a out drivability and reliability
I’m still kind of curious with the log process on the cvt. I don’t know if I missed it but when recording the logs do you need to be in a certain drive mode like sport or sport+ or does it not matter. Overall tho great video definitely made the process not seem so bad for someone new to this kind of stuff. And I’ve heard dmann tunes are the best so knowing it comes from him is a relief as well since I stay no where near him or someone that tunes these cars lol.
How do you do the high rpm logs with a CVT??
will Dmann be able to tune a catless J-pipe??
He seems to want elevation, but what about those of us up north, with snow in winter and 90+ degree summers? Are we getting a summer and winter map, or is it no longer necessary for that?
Not needed!
Any plans on adding a ots perrin intake option for the vb?
Added!
@@jdmuscleusa Wow! My AP is in the mail, I'll order through u guys when I get it this week.
@@wuhanbatmeat1669 You gonna love it!
If I don't have all of my modifications added to my 22 VB, can i send the list of my stockpile of parts for the base map. Im going to pile up the parts and install them all at once
You technically could but why not just buy it when you have all the parts ready :)
Anything for the Aussie vb wrx?
I went to your website. I could not find a link for OTS tune for the VB, only for the EJ. May someone assist? Thanks!
@@Imprezalove link is in the description section of this video :)
Do you have to send the data logs back via email ?
@@bryanheredia3374 yes
@@jdmuscleusa nice ! Just placed an order last night
@@bryanheredia3374 Thank you for your buisness!
No problem, how long does it take to receive the e-tune ?
@@bryanheredia3374 Usually 1-3 business days with 3 on the busier side.
alternator upgrade doubled my HP
me who just tuned my vb two days ago🧍
Haha. Hopefully it was a good tune tho!
So if you buy the OTS tune for just the intake do you get the tune the same day as ordered?
@@Megriffin OTS is usually 1-2 days turn around
Damn. I've never done an E tune. Only dyno. 😂haha, it might be a process with me.
I have gotten two tunes for my car from different tuners. One was an e-tune from a popular tuner that's been around as long as or longer than dmann, the other is a local shop that did an actual dyno tune. Both are very different. Both produce within 3 hp of one another. The e-tune is much stronger in the midrange (MUCH stronger) but throttle response is very twitchy. The local shop insists that this is because the e-tune is adding more throttle than is actually being called for by the gas pedal (maybe so? I dunno). The dyno tune is much smoother but has none of that "punch" of the midrange. Overall I am very disappointed with both. Couple that with very bad experiences from Billetworkz and Perrin, and am in the process of demodding the car and selling it.
I asked dmann if he could add more throttle response an he told me not really so I wouldn't think it's throttle response I'd think the etune was hitting higher boost an more timing cause the stock turbo peaks in midrange running way less boost at max rpm why they feel so dif but hp pretty much same
@@JoshDillon-lm3hw Yeah I'd love to be able to compare these tunes somehow. I looked briefly into trying to lear how to do this (not professionally) but never got very far.
@RobGADV yeah I'd think you'd need access to cobbs software todo so which I think you can only get from there tuner class what is it you don't like about the tune I like mine except I just keep wanting more power everytime now
Sounds more like tuner vs ways of tuning. Sorry to see you go from VB tho :(
GET AHOLD OF ANOTHER TUNER LIKE DMANN OR GRAHAM AND EXPLAIN WHAT YOU SAID HERE AND ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS LOOK AT THE OTHER MAPS AND IT SHOULD BE EASY TO FIGURE OUT..SOUNDS LIKE THE DYNO SHOP DIDNT KNOW HOW TO TUNE THE VARIABLE VALVE TIMING ASPECT AND THEY ONLY RELIED ON BOOST AND TIMING TO BOOST HP/TQ FIGURES..LACK OF MIDRANGE SOUNDS LIKE GUY DIDNT WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO FIGURE OUT THE VVT.
Does anyone else think this process is super complicated?? I would gladly pay someone that could do it correctly.
Just dyno tune bro. It’s more expensive, but don’t have to worry about the data logging
It's really easy.
Burble Tune $50 but it's actually free is a little confusing...lol. Can that be changed??
Too much talking
