Is NieR Automata Anime Criticism Justified?

About the point that the story is confusing and the viewer may not know what is going on, that really is something even the people who played the game went through too. The story is *supposed* to be confusing at the start.
After episode 1 the anime has started adding a lot of original content instead of being just a pure 1:1 adaptation of the game, which I really like!
Highly recommend everyone to watch the series, either right now or after it finishes airing (hopefully won't take as long as Isekai Ojisan.) The story will have so many amazing moments, it will be worth it.

"Why is Nier Automata confusing in the first episode?" is the same as "Why is AOT not explaining where the walls came from in Episode 2, this is bad anime!"

I love the songs by Aimer and Aramarashi but for those of us who played the game it didn't transmit the heart and soul of Nier. Imagine a scene with Captain America with electro dance in a scene set in the 60s.
