- In today’s video we are off to our next destination, Mueang Tak Thailand. We stay at a beautiful hotel right on the riverside, in the heart of the city, with some of the most amazing views surrounded by mountains. The following morning we visit the largest market that we have ever seen, which was totally unexpected. While at the market, Gift suggested that we move to Tak and rent an apartment, of course Gift was just kidding 🤣

Man oh man, just when I thought I have seen everything about Thailand, I learn something new. Tak looks like a beautiful, clean, and moderately priced place to come visit the next time I am in Thailand. I wonder why I have never seen a video about this area of Thailand before? Thanks for showing me that I don't know everything about Thailand, even after visiting there about 5 times in the last 20 years. Keep putting those great contents out there for us Gift and Joe. Loved in Tak province for 7 years , this town is very special for me , it there where I would attend my monthly meeting with the Governor and with the Thai military. But Maesot used to be my home and where I build my first house in Thailand! Enjoy Lampang !

Nice hotel room, great view and nice fireworks..good trip so far..was surprised at how cold it is in Thailand Chuck and the crew had some serious jackets. Now you guys..so I guess swimming pool is not gonna happen..😮

Another sabai video thanks😊, in our younger days we would take a motorbike up along the ping river, every where is beautiful and the people so friendly, definitely the better route up to Chiang Mai, wondering if you will take the 1088 through the wilderness.

My wife and stayed at the Riverside Hotel several times and not a bad older hotel. The food market outside is awesome and inexpensive too.

May I suggest that on your way back from Pai to take the road to Mae Hong Son than to Mae Sariang unto Maesot and back to Tak. Happy New Year

Looks like you all found a nice town there in Thailand, Mueang Tak, with a great hotel. Also looks like a big town good market, didn't know that town existed. Hi guys we haven’t seen you with your friends Chuck and Paige for awhile
Chuck and Paige live about 15 hours from where we live. We meet up when our travel plans and schedules allow. Chuck & Paige spent more time in our neck of the woods, when Kara lived here which now is no longer the case. Hope this clarifies your curiosity.
In fact Gift's idea might be very good ;-) Surrounded by mountains, near the river, the weather could be very good all months the year. An offbeat choice for expats location in Thailand.
We will definitely be back for a longer visit next time.

Where is the health department? They don't allow us to do such thing here. Meat is not refrigerated? That's a NO NO. When I visited Southeast Asia, many friends told not to eat raw vegetables and ice cube.
