- Today Gift and I meet up with a long time friend of mine “Sabrina”. We spent a day together visiting the beautiful town of Sacile Italy where Gift eats risotto for her first time. Gift and Sabrina had a great time getting to know each other and now they will be friends for a lifetime.

I drove those roads at least 5 to 6 times a year in my travels as an independent contractor years ago...
Always something new to see and good local cuisine to enjoy...
Plus the people are super friendly...

That's why when we go to an Italian Restaurant and I get their spaghetti, I can always tell if its overcooked, it spoils it.
I made it to Aviano Air Base twice in the late 70’s, but I never made it off the base. Seeing your videos makes me wish I had had a few days downtime to explore the local area. ☹️

I can't believe how clean the streets are and how well-maintained it is. You don't even see garbage cans or nothing like that. Sitting out you ever seen any trash on the streets no paper no bags no water bottles nothing.

It's such a contrast between Thailand and Italy. The streets seem so deserted in the areas on the video. Perhaps, it's cold and no one is out walking around.
Most people come out during the early evening hours and on weekends.

It is a world that I wish I would have discovered at a place in my life that I could have experienced for myself. I am now older and it is becoming harder to travel all the time. So I get to travel through your posts. Thank you. And on another note, I want to ask you a question about something I have never seen a blog about. In some of your earlier posts when you were showing your home, there was a picture of Jesus on your wall. In another video as you were driving in your car, there was a cross hanging in your car. So no judgement by me but I am really interested in how you and Gift reconcile your religious differences. There is Jesus and there is Budda. How do you make it work?
Thank you 🙏 so much! As far as our believes. Gift and I respect each other so we share our thoughts on both her faith in Buddha and my faith in Christ. We both learn a lot from each other. While Gift still has her faith, she also now wears the same cross (smaller version) that I do.
But Joe, they have Roundabouts in Vietnam and driving there is worse than Thailand. When the light changes you have traffic facing traffic head on.
I would never want to drive in Vietnam 😊
