Gator Trout in The Surf and Fishing Tips

- In this fishing video I fished outside of Galveston Texas in Surfside. The beachfront has remained clean over the last week or so, and I wanted some of that surf trout action. I made a quick stop at Bait Daddys on Galveston's Westend for some great live shrimp. I wade fished for just a few hours, but I was very happy I did. I got into some BIG Speckled Trout, also known as Gator Trout. This fishing video also includes great fishing tips.

We JUST now down in Corpus got to have a different limit. We were 17”-23” on slot trout with a 3 fish limit. Finally went back to 15-25

Great content, and you caught some nice big surf trout. That scenary reminds me of Padre Island which is where I fish. Keep cranking out the videos, and your channel will grow huge. I also buy some of my fishing gear of Temu, so it is a great place to find tackle at a smaller price point.

I've caught more small sharks this year than ever. I caught 7 in one afternoon in west bay, which I found odd.
I think so with the warmer weather and lack of rain I think they're sticking around closer to inshore/beachfront.

I have no idea what's going on with my email, it shows I have nothing in my spam folder. I tried to change the settings not to filter my spam folder so I can see what's going in there and it shows I have no filters on. I might have to change from a yahoo email to another one. It just started doing this, which stinks because a lot of legit emails will go into my spam.
I suspect you will have a feeling of regret when you filet those big girls as i did the last time i kept one over 20". Especially with the egg sacs they likely have in them. 😢
Absolutely my favorite way to fish. Park on the beach and walk in. Good catch.
I don't feel bad. I have released way more fish than I have kept, this last year is really the only time I have actually kept fish because I just started eating fish. Plus, I have done so much for coastal conservation way more than your average angler and way more than your average TH-cam angler. Matter of fact I don't know any other content creator in my area that gives back like I do. I have removed thousands of trash and debris from our shorelines with Saltwater Soul Shore Patrol and I volunteer with several non-profits teaching and educating about fishing/fish regulations and how to properly take care of our fishery. But your right typically I release any trout over 20" but in this case I went fishing for trout knowing I was going to clean and donate my catch to a needy family.
